Whether you’re interested in customizing these on their own or as part of a set along with a matching pendant or ring, our experts will guide you through the process of putting your personal touch on the set. We’ll learn as much as we can about what you’re envisioning up front, and we’ll use that to develop your unique design in CAD. Only once you’re completely satisfied with the models we created will we turn things over to our expert artisans to begin production.
Rubies and Diamonds
The focus of each earring in this set is a round ruby that’s prong set in 14k white gold. The two stones together total 0.52 carats, and they’re each surrounded by a halo of split prong set white diamonds. The halos follow the contours of the centers perfectly, sitting just below the level of the girdles of the rubies. From this position, the small round diamonds send plenty of light up onto the larger stones, helping to increase their brilliance. Earrings
Customization Options
The halo style is a classical choice, and there are many ways you can modify it to make it your own while still maintaining the same basic framework of this set. For instance, you could choose a different type of stone for the center, such as a colored sapphire or diamond. You could use rose or yellow gold in place of the white gold used here to take the classical themes even further, and you can also experiment with different shapes for the stones in the center.

3D design review
After you accept the estimate and make a down payment, we create a 3D CAD model and rendered views. Revisions within the initial design parameters are included; changes to materials or their amounts are re-estimated.
Physical model
A full-size wax model can be made to review scale, shape and proportions before production. It can be viewed in a showroom or shipped to you.
Approval and production
The design is approved before production begins. Your designer confirms the schedule, and our jewelers make, set and finish the piece.
Quality
Our custom jewelry follows design and construction standards for metal thickness, weight, stone support and setting security.
- Structure and support
- The setting must have enough metal to support the stones and hold its shape through everyday wear. If an area needs more support, we address it before production.
- Diamond and gemstone selection
- We help you choose stones for your custom design, reviewing cut, color, clarity, consistency and fit. Your budget guides these choices; our standards for materials and craftsmanship remain the same.
- Final inspection
- Before completion, we review each custom piece for proportion, comfort, stone security and finish.

Coverage conditions
For Joseph Jewelry custom pieces, coverage begins with your signature. To keep it active, Joseph Jewelry must inspect and sign for your piece every six months and perform recommended repairs and maintenance.
Repairs due to normal wear and tear are the owner's responsibility. Damage, abuse or alterations can void coverage. Customers outside Washington pay shipping both ways for inspections or repairs, plus applicable duty or customs fees.
