Blue Sapphire Centers
At the center of these earrings are bezel set round blue sapphires. The body of the earring surrounds them, and its shape is mostly round, only coming to points at the compass positions. Within this, a square is offset 45 degrees from the points of the circle, and its sides run along the outer margin of the sapphire’s bezel setting.
This leaves a small opening between each corner of the square and the curve of the sapphire, helping to enhance the ornate look of the design, while also highlighting the perfectly circular cut of the gems. Earrings
Diamond Halos and Milgrain
All of of the metal edges in this piece, including the outline of the square and the bezel setting in the middle, are lined with milgrain beading for added vintage flair. There are round bright cut set diamond accents on all four sides of the square as well, tucked between its outer edges and the inner margin of the larger circle.
These diamonds are all bright cut set, and they taper in size from the middle going out towards the side in order to fill the available space appropriately. Each earring holds 20 of these accent diamonds, and all together, they total 0.22 carats.
