Description
This stunning engagement ring features a round diamond in the center, with amethyst accents set in the scalloped band lined with milgrain. It was created as part of a custom set that also included wedding band #102323 for a client from Shepherdsville, KY who had a clear idea of what he wanted for his fiancee-to-be. From the inspiration images he shared with us, we created this lovely design, and once he gave his approval, we moved both pieces into production.

Center Diamond
The stone that sits atop this ring is a 0.75 carat round diamond with a wonderful sparkle. The four prong setting that cradles it really lets its brilliance shine through, and the way the prongs follow the contours of the diamond help to accentuate its shape. Diamond Engagement Rings
The main setting also rises up from a depression in the scalloped band between the topmost two amethyst accents. This arrangement emphasizes the diamond’s central place, and also brings a comfortable balance to the piece.
Amethyst Accents
There are three round bright cut set amethysts running down each shank shoulder, and these bring their lovely purple color to the ring, as well as overtones of passion and faithful love. They’re set in a scalloped section of the band, and each pocket is lined with milgrain, which lends the piece a bit of vintage flair.
The scalloped section of the ring holding the amethysts also matches up exactly with the scalloped top portion of the companion wedding band. This makes for a truly lovely presentation when the two are worn together, and because we made both at the same time, we could ensure that the stones and all other details lined up perfectly.
Customization Options
There are plenty of ways you can personalize this design. For example, you could replace the amethyst accents with another type of gemstone that holds special meaning for you. Your birthstone or that of your fiancee is one good alternative, as is a stone in her favorite color. And you could switch to a warmer rose gold for the band to intensify the vintage feel of the piece.

3D design review
After you accept the estimate and make a down payment, we create a 3D CAD model and rendered views. Revisions within the initial design parameters are included; changes to materials or their amounts are re-estimated.
Physical model
A full-size wax model can be made to review scale, shape and proportions before production. It can be viewed in a showroom or shipped to you.
Approval and production
The design is approved before production begins. Your designer confirms the schedule, and our jewelers make, set and finish the piece.
Quality
Our custom jewelry follows design and construction standards for metal thickness, weight, stone support and setting security.

- The setting must have enough metal to support the stones and hold its shape through everyday wear. If an area needs more support, we address it before production.

- We help you choose stones for your custom design, reviewing cut, color, clarity, consistency and fit. Your budget guides these choices; our standards for materials and craftsmanship remain the same.
- Final inspection
- Before completion, we review each custom piece for proportion, comfort, stone security and finish.

Coverage conditions
For Joseph Jewelry custom pieces, coverage begins with your signature. To keep it active, Joseph Jewelry must inspect and sign for your piece every six months and perform recommended repairs and maintenance.
Repairs due to normal wear and tear are the owner's responsibility. Damage, abuse or alterations can void coverage. Customers outside Washington pay shipping both ways for inspections or repairs, plus applicable duty or customs fees.
