Description
This elegant engagement ring features a marquise shaped diamond bezel set in rose gold, with diamond, filigree, and milgrain accents on the organic split shank. It was created for a client from Beaverton, OR, who initially visited our Bellevue, WA showroom to get the custom design process underway.

She then collaborated with our team extensively online, and she visited the store again to view wax models of her ring at various points throughout the development process. She also brought a few family diamonds to us that she wanted to incorporate into her piece, and once she was completely satisfied with the models she’d seen, she gave her approval for us to move her ring into production. Marquise Diamond Center
The centerpiece of this ring is a 0.52 carat marquise shaped diamond. It’s bezel set at an angle to the band, so that the ends of the stone point to the top right and bottom left. This placement is the basis for the structure of the rest of the band and its asymmetrical design, which was the main element that the client stuck with throughout the design process even as she made several changes to various other features. Diamond and Filigree Accents
A line of round bright cut set diamond accents runs down the wider arm of the split shank on each side of the center, extending from the tip of the main diamond to the mid-point on the band. Initially, the client wanted a thinner engagement ring and a wedding band lined with diamonds to go with it, but after seeing examples of several different options, she decided to incorporate the accent diamonds into the engagement ring and forgo the wedding band entirely.
Between the two arms of the split shank on each side of the center, a curling, organic filigree fills the space, wrapping around two round accent diamonds in the process. These were the stones that the client provided, and including them in her engagement ring helped add extra personal sentiment to an already significant piece.
Hand Engraving and Milgrain
The center diamond is surrounded by a double ring of milgrain beading, and this continues down onto both arms of the band. It frames the bright cut set accent diamonds, and it also lines the custom hand-engraved sections that cover the rest of the top and fronts of the Euroshank down to the corners for a lovely vintage touch that gives the ring a satisfying finished look.

Physical model
A full-size wax model can be made to review scale, shape and proportions before production. It can be viewed in a showroom or shipped to you.
Approval and production
The design is approved before production begins. Your designer confirms the schedule, and our jewelers make, set and finish the piece.
Quality
Our custom jewelry follows design and construction standards for metal thickness, weight, stone support and setting security.

Coverage conditions
For Joseph Jewelry custom pieces, coverage begins with your signature. To keep it active, Joseph Jewelry must inspect and sign for your piece every six months and perform recommended repairs and maintenance.
Repairs due to normal wear and tear are the owner's responsibility. Damage, abuse or alterations can void coverage. Customers outside Washington pay shipping both ways for inspections or repairs, plus applicable duty or customs fees.
