This elegant engagement ring features a radiant cut diamond atop a split platinum shank, with split prong set diamond accents. It was created for a client from Maple Valley, WA, who worked with our designers onsite in our Bellevue, WA showroom to perfect the piece. Center Diamond
The main stone in this ring is a 1.02 carat radiant cut diamond with beautiful fire, and the open four prong setting holding it lets it shine through from all angles. Its squared shape also works well with the wide, flat shank to create a classy contemporary design. Diamond Engagement Rings
Split Shank and Diamond Accents
The band of this ring starts as one solid piece at the bottom, and it gradually widens as it moves up the sides. At about the mid-point, a narrow horizontal groove marks where the band splits into three strips that are each lined with split prong set diamonds.
The accent diamonds on the center portion are slightly larger than those on the sides, and that middle piece runs directly under the main setting without a break. The side pieces follow a more open curvature, rising up to meet the main setting low down on the sides of the prongs.
Customization Options
If you’d like to keep the general outline of this piece but put your own mark on it as well, there are quite a few items to consider. For instance, you could use a different type of gemstone for either the center or the accents on the band. Sapphires are a particularly popular alternative to diamonds in engagement rings, and they would work well in either of these roles. Some benefits of sapphires include the wide range of colors they come in and their hardness, which is only slightly less than that of diamonds.
You could also introduce contrast by sticking with all diamonds and instead changing the type of metal used. Rose and yellow gold both bring warmth to the piece, and they simultaneously help push the design in a more classical direction. 3D design review
After you accept the estimate and make a down payment, we create a 3D CAD model and rendered views. Revisions within the initial design parameters are included; changes to materials or their amounts are re-estimated.
Physical model
A full-size wax model can be made to review scale, shape and proportions before production. It can be viewed in a showroom or shipped to you.
Approval and production
The design is approved before production begins. Your designer confirms the schedule, and our jewelers make, set and finish the piece.

Our custom jewelry follows design and construction standards for metal thickness, weight, stone support and setting security.

Coverage conditions
For Joseph Jewelry custom pieces, coverage begins with your signature. To keep it active, Joseph Jewelry must inspect and sign for your piece every six months and perform recommended repairs and maintenance.
Repairs due to normal wear and tear are the owner's responsibility. Damage, abuse or alterations can void coverage. Customers outside Washington pay shipping both ways for inspections or repairs, plus applicable duty or customs fees.
