This diamond engagement ring, along with a matching wedding band, was re-designed in platinum, originally white gold, for a client from Redmond, WA. Center Diamond in Bezel Setting
This engagement ring features 14 round brilliant cut diamond melees bright cut set on both shoulders of the ring. The shank extend upwards towards the center stone creating a fusion with the bezel setting which holds a 0.95 ctw cushion diamond.
Bezels are known to be the oldest type of settings; they encapsulate the stone safely in place while showing off the diamond table, which is the main face that captures light giving it the shine and brightness. With this setting type, your diamond is better protected from accidental rubbing and makes it less likely for the stone to be scratched. Diamond Engagement Rings
Filigree
Since the original piece features filigree, our client opted to keep this aspect of the ring with slight changes to the forms. This intricate metalwork is completed at our shop in Bellevue, WA by our highly skilled artisans.
Customization
If you like to add additional sparkle to this ring you can go for pave setting along the shanks and shoulders to give it an additional layer of flare. Custom Design Process

Design and estimate
The initial design and estimate are free, with no obligation. Your designer discusses the materials, changes and budget with you before you commit.
3D design review
After you accept the estimate and make a down payment, we create a 3D CAD model and rendered views. Revisions within the initial design parameters are included; changes to materials or their amounts are re-estimated.
Physical model
A full-size wax model can be made to review scale, shape and proportions before production. It can be viewed in a showroom or shipped to you.
Approval and production
The design is approved before production begins. Your designer confirms the schedule, and our jewelers make, set and finish the piece.
Quality
Our custom jewelry follows design and construction standards for metal thickness, weight, stone support and setting security.
- Structure and support
- The setting must have enough metal to support the stones and hold its shape through everyday wear. If an area needs more support, we address it before production.
- Diamond and gemstone selection
- We help you choose stones for your custom design, reviewing cut, color, clarity, consistency and fit. Your budget guides these choices; our standards for materials and craftsmanship remain the same.
- Final inspection
- Before completion, we review each custom piece for proportion, comfort, stone security and finish.
Lifetime warranty and care

Coverage conditions
For Joseph Jewelry custom pieces, coverage begins with your signature. To keep it active, Joseph Jewelry must inspect and sign for your piece every six months and perform recommended repairs and maintenance.
Repairs due to normal wear and tear are the owner's responsibility. Damage, abuse or alterations can void coverage. Customers outside Washington pay shipping both ways for inspections or repairs, plus applicable duty or customs fees.
