Description
This gorgeous engagement ring features a princess cut diamond prong set at the top, with clusters of small round aquamarines flanking it on either side, all atop a narrow rose gold shank. It was created for a client from Primm Springs, TN, who reached out to us online to share his inspiration piece with us and to learn more about the custom design process.

He had found a ring that he wanted to customize, and he shared an image of that with us through the workroom we set up to manage his project. From that image, as well as from discussions about stone type, cut, and pricing, we developed a unique design in CAD, and he quickly approved that so we could move his ring into production. Center Diamond
At the top of this ring, a 0.53 carat princess cut diamond is held in place by four rose gold prongs. The diamond is rotated slightly so that its corners sit at the compass positions, and the prongs are clustered close to the top and bottom points. This unusual configuration gives the center a unique and striking look, and the positioning of the diamond works well to allow the smooth transition to the clusters of aquamarines on either side. Aquamarine Side Stones
Six round aquamarines of varying sizes sit on either side of the center, with the two largest on either side of the points of the princess cut. Slightly smaller stones take up the positions on the outsides of these, and the smallest aquamarines in the group extend in a line away from the center setting on the top of the band. The band itself is made from 18k rose gold, and it features a knife edge, which gives is a delicate and elegant look. The clusters of small stones at the top help enhance this effect, and the combination of colors in the piece as a whole contributes to its classical flair.

Physical model
A full-size wax model can be made to review scale, shape and proportions before production. It can be viewed in a showroom or shipped to you.
Approval and production
The design is approved before production begins. Your designer confirms the schedule, and our jewelers make, set and finish the piece.
Quality
Our custom jewelry follows design and construction standards for metal thickness, weight, stone support and setting security.
- Structure and support
- The setting must have enough metal to support the stones and hold its shape through everyday wear. If an area needs more support, we address it before production.
- Diamond and gemstone selection
- We help you choose stones for your custom design, reviewing cut, color, clarity, consistency and fit. Your budget guides these choices; our standards for materials and craftsmanship remain the same.
- Final inspection
- Before completion, we review each custom piece for proportion, comfort, stone security and finish.

Coverage conditions
For Joseph Jewelry custom pieces, coverage begins with your signature. To keep it active, Joseph Jewelry must inspect and sign for your piece every six months and perform recommended repairs and maintenance.
Repairs due to normal wear and tear are the owner's responsibility. Damage, abuse or alterations can void coverage. Customers outside Washington pay shipping both ways for inspections or repairs, plus applicable duty or customs fees.
