We discussed some options with him through the online workroom we created for the project, and he then came into our Bellevue, WA showroom to see some examples of our work in person. Once we had a good idea of what he was looking for, we created highly-detailed 3D models of his design, and he gave his approval to move the piece into production.
Three-stone Setting
The centerpiece of this ring is a 1.16 carat emerald cut blue sapphire, whose rich blue color contrasts beautifully with the sparkling white of the diamonds that make up the rest of the classic three-stone setting. The four platinum prongs holding the sapphire in place rise up in a trellis style from below, crossing over the prongs for the other stones in the process.
The way the strands of metal intertwine before rising up to wrap around the gemstones gives the piece a lovely, whimsical movement, and it brings just enough complexity to an otherwise minimalist design. The trapezoid shape of the side diamonds also helps ease the transition from the wider center stone to the narrower band, bringing a satisfying balance to the piece. Three Stone Engagement Rings
