We created a CAD model of his ring based on the information he provided during this initial visit, and we shared this with him through the online workroom we set up to manage his project. He immediately approved this model to move into production, and we expedited the process at his request to meet his desired completion date. Design Your Own Engagement Ring
Center Setting
The sole diamond in this ring is 0.62 carats and round brilliant cut. It’s held in a half bezel setting that forms naturally from the wrapped ends of the split shank as they curve around the top and bottom of the stone. The narrower strands of the shank meet the side of the center setting lower down, and the angle they take makes it seem as though they pass directly beneath the diamond to meet their partner on the other side.
The client provided this diamond, as well as the gold we used to make the rose gold alloy that forms the ring itself. This gave the piece an even greater personal connection, as he integrated elements that he already owned to make something new and special.
Filigree and Hand Engraving
Between the two split strands of the shank, a hand-made filigree in a Celtic knot pattern fills the space and adds a wonderfully unique touch to the design. This is complemented by the custom hand engraving that covers the top and fronts of the band and features a similar Celtic-inspired pattern. Details like this are completed by our expert artisans, and their skill and experience allows us to customize both to a great degree to reflect something of personal significance to you. Celtic Rings
Band Design
At the bottom, the band is flat and straight, but it begins to curve soon after it starts to rise up the side, moving in a graceful wave motion that is continued by the thicker strand after the split. This split occurs about one-third of the way from the top, and a line of larger beads runs up the wider strand almost all the way up to the top. As a finishing touch, much finer milgrain beading frames all details, adding a bit of vintage flair along the way.
Customizing This Design
Any Joseph Jewelry item can be customized or used as the starting point for a new custom design. The gemstones, metal, proportions, setting style, surface details, and overall profile can be adjusted to better match your preferences, style, and budget.
Every custom piece begins with a conversation about what you want to create and what matters most to you. You work one-on-one with a designer to refine the concept, review the design direction, and create a detailed 3D CAD image of the item before it is made.
After the design is approved, we can create a wax model so you can review the piece physically. This step helps you evaluate scale, proportions, shape, and overall presence before final production begins.
Once the wax model is approved, our jewelers craft the finished piece with attention to structure, finish, stone security, and long-term wear. Each adjustment is reviewed carefully so the final item feels intentional, balanced, and made specifically for you.
You do not need to have every detail figured out before starting. If you like this item but want to change the stone, metal, size, shape, width, engraving, or overall style, we can guide those decisions through the custom design process.
Quality & Craftsmanship
At Joseph Jewelry, quality begins with the structure. We follow strict design and construction standards for metal thickness, weight, stone support, setting security, and long-term durability. These details help ensure the item is substantial enough for everyday wear while still maintaining a refined appearance.
We do not design custom jewelry to be unnecessarily thin or fragile. If a setting, band, gallery, or accent detail needs more support, we address it before production begins. The goal is to protect the stones, preserve the shape of the ring, and create a piece that can be worn confidently over time.
Gemstone selection is also part of our quality process. We help choose the center stone, side stones, and melee diamonds used in each ring, reviewing them for cut, color, clarity, consistency, and how well they fit the design. Even when a ring is designed around a specific budget, we maintain careful standards for the materials and craftsmanship that determine the quality of the finished piece.
Before completion, each custom piece is reviewed for proportion, comfort, stone security, finishing, and long-term wear.
Care & Warranty
All Joseph Jewelry custom pieces are supported by our lifetime warranty. We also provide long-term care, including complimentary cleaning and regular inspection, so your jewelry can be maintained properly over time.
Routine inspection is especially valuable for pieces worn every day. It allows the setting, stones, and overall structure to be checked as the jewelry is worn.
