Diamond Solitaire
The lone gemstone in this ring is a 1.31 carat round brilliant cut stone, and it’s held in a four prong platinum setting that rises up smoothly from the fronts of the band below. The prongs cradle the stone, creating a feeling of openness while still keeping it tucked down relatively low for a solitaire design like this. Diamond Engagement Rings
The solitaire style has long been popular for engagement rings, but just because it’s traditional doesn’t mean you can’t also put a personal mark on it. This ring is a wonderful example of that, especially in the way that it includes a traditional four prong setting but modifies it to create a lower profile than normal. Customizing a solitaire design like this could also include changing the shape of the center or using a different kind of gemstone all together. Hand Engraving
Hand Engraving and Milgrain
The band is narrowest at the bottom, gradually widening all the way up and reaching its widest point right where it meets the center stone. The top surface is covered with an organic pattern of hand engraving that combines wheat-style elements at the bottom with more scroll-like designs at the top. This engraving extends from close to the bottom of the ring all the way up to the main setting, and it brings a vintage feel to the piece, a detail that is only enhanced by the lines of milgrain beading that frame it on either side.

Physical model
A full-size wax model can be made to review scale, shape and proportions before production. It can be viewed in a showroom or shipped to you.
Approval and production
The design is approved before production begins. Your designer confirms the schedule, and our jewelers make, set and finish the piece.
Quality
Our custom jewelry follows design and construction standards for metal thickness, weight, stone support and setting security.
- Structure and support
- The setting must have enough metal to support the stones and hold its shape through everyday wear. If an area needs more support, we address it before production.
- Diamond and gemstone selection
- We help you choose stones for your custom design, reviewing cut, color, clarity, consistency and fit. Your budget guides these choices; our standards for materials and craftsmanship remain the same.
- Final inspection
- Before completion, we review each custom piece for proportion, comfort, stone security and finish.

Coverage conditions
For Joseph Jewelry custom pieces, coverage begins with your signature. To keep it active, Joseph Jewelry must inspect and sign for your piece every six months and perform recommended repairs and maintenance.
Repairs due to normal wear and tear are the owner's responsibility. Damage, abuse or alterations can void coverage. Customers outside Washington pay shipping both ways for inspections or repairs, plus applicable duty or customs fees.
