This elegant engagement ring features a round brilliant cut diamond bezel set in the middle of a white gold split shank. The ring is actually a jacket style designed to hold a matching wedding band inside of it, and it was created for a client from Leonardtown, MD as part of a custom wedding set to go along with women’s wedding ring #102428.

Although he could never visit our Bellevue, WA showroom in person, our client communicated extensively with our staff online to iron out the details of his design. He began by explaining his vision, and he selected various features that he liked using our online tool to give us a jumping off point to create his original piece. Once he’d adjusted our design to his satisfaction, he gave us the go-ahead to move the piece into production.
Diamond Solitaire
A diamond solitaire is a traditional choice for an engagement ring, but as you can see from this piece, there are many ways to work it into a unique design as well. The single diamond in this ring is a 0.50 carat round brilliant cut stone, and it’s framed beautifully in a wrapped bezel setting that’s formed out of a continuation of the strands of the split shank.
Band Design
The fluid movement of the band is the perfect complement to the circular nature of the diamond and the wrapped style of the center setting. It also works well with the flat, straight band that makes up the companion wedding ring, which fits perfectly inside this piece’s split shank.
In addition to meeting at the top to encircle the diamond, the two strands of the band are joined by a crossbar at the bottom. This arrangement makes for a beautiful standalone piece, while also allowing it to function perfectly as part of the custom set. Diamond Engagement Rings

A full-size wax model can be made to review scale, shape and proportions before production. It can be viewed in a showroom or shipped to you.
Approval and production
The design is approved before production begins. Your designer confirms the schedule, and our jewelers make, set and finish the piece.
Quality
Our custom jewelry follows design and construction standards for metal thickness, weight, stone support and setting security.

- The setting must have enough metal to support the stones and hold its shape through everyday wear. If an area needs more support, we address it before production.
- Diamond and gemstone selection
- We help you choose stones for your custom design, reviewing cut, color, clarity, consistency and fit. Your budget guides these choices; our standards for materials and craftsmanship remain the same.
- Final inspection
- Before completion, we review each custom piece for proportion, comfort, stone security and finish.

Coverage conditions
For Joseph Jewelry custom pieces, coverage begins with your signature. To keep it active, Joseph Jewelry must inspect and sign for your piece every six months and perform recommended repairs and maintenance.
Repairs due to normal wear and tear are the owner's responsibility. Damage, abuse or alterations can void coverage. Customers outside Washington pay shipping both ways for inspections or repairs, plus applicable duty or customs fees.
