This exquisite engagement ring features a one carat round brilliant lab created diamond with a small halo, six prongs, accent diamonds down the cathedral shoulders, and a lovely crossed basket, all set in white gold. The clients were able to work solely through our online portal to create their design. They worked through several iterations to incorporate the elements that were most important to them.
Lab Created Diamond
Lab created diamonds are diamonds. They are physically, chemically, and optically identical to natural diamonds; the only difference is they were grown above ground instead of inside the Earth. They are a great eco-friendly alternative to natural diamond if you're looking for the same hardness and sparkle. Our designers are able to source many different sizes, shapes, and grades, and we can send photos and videos of diamond options before we create your ring. Conflict Free Diamonds
Halo Design
Initially, the client didn't have the halo in their mock-up, but after going through a few iterations, they decided to add the tiny halo in to add a bit of extra framing for their center stone. The halo is set lower than the average halo, allowing the center stone to be the main draw of attention. Halo Engagement Rings
The shoulders framing the center diamond and halo are ever so slightly tapered. They are smaller by the halo and gradually increase in size, stopping at the halfway point of the ring. It was especially important to the client that they could wear a straight wedding band flush with the engagement ring, so we adjusted the trellis basket under the halo to accommodate that.

3D design review
After you accept the estimate and make a down payment, we create a 3D CAD model and rendered views. Revisions within the initial design parameters are included; changes to materials or their amounts are re-estimated.
Physical model
A full-size wax model can be made to review scale, shape and proportions before production. It can be viewed in a showroom or shipped to you.
Approval and production
The design is approved before production begins. Your designer confirms the schedule, and our jewelers make, set and finish the piece.
Quality
Our custom jewelry follows design and construction standards for metal thickness, weight, stone support and setting security.
- Structure and support
- The setting must have enough metal to support the stones and hold its shape through everyday wear. If an area needs more support, we address it before production.
- Diamond and gemstone selection
- We help you choose stones for your custom design, reviewing cut, color, clarity, consistency and fit. Your budget guides these choices; our standards for materials and craftsmanship remain the same.
- Final inspection
- Before completion, we review each custom piece for proportion, comfort, stone security and finish.
Lifetime warranty and care

- Inspection every six monthsOur jewelers inspect your piece and provide ongoing care for the custom jewelry we make for you.

Coverage conditions
For Joseph Jewelry custom pieces, coverage begins with your signature. To keep it active, Joseph Jewelry must inspect and sign for your piece every six months and perform recommended repairs and maintenance.
Repairs due to normal wear and tear are the owner's responsibility. Damage, abuse or alterations can void coverage. Customers outside Washington pay shipping both ways for inspections or repairs, plus applicable duty or customs fees.
