Oval Solitaire
The centerpiece of this ring is an oval diamond that’s cradled in a contemporary-styled prong setting. The four prongs holding it in place are wide and flat, and two meet the stone on the sides inline with the band, while the other two cradle the top and bottom of the diamond. The positioning of the stone lengthwise across the band helps to highlight its graceful shape, and the straight angles of the overall band design provide a nice contrast with the smooth curves of the oval. Band Design
The band itself is made from 18k white gold, and it’s flat and straight all the way around. It smoothy transitions up at the top to form the side prongs in the main setting, maintaining its width as it does so. The gallery below the main setting is the origin point for the other two prongs holding the diamond, and a small ring runs around the lower portion of the diamond between the prongs to ensure structural stability.
Customization Options
Because this large diamond is the only gemstone in the piece, it’s considered a solitaire design. This has long been viewed as the most traditional choice for an engagement ring, and there are many ways to make your piece unique even when utilizing this style. Unique Engagement Rings

After you accept the estimate and make a down payment, we create a 3D CAD model and rendered views. Revisions within the initial design parameters are included; changes to materials or their amounts are re-estimated.
Physical model
A full-size wax model can be made to review scale, shape and proportions before production. It can be viewed in a showroom or shipped to you.
Approval and production
The design is approved before production begins. Your designer confirms the schedule, and our jewelers make, set and finish the piece.
Quality
Our custom jewelry follows design and construction standards for metal thickness, weight, stone support and setting security.

- The setting must have enough metal to support the stones and hold its shape through everyday wear. If an area needs more support, we address it before production.

Coverage conditions
For Joseph Jewelry custom pieces, coverage begins with your signature. To keep it active, Joseph Jewelry must inspect and sign for your piece every six months and perform recommended repairs and maintenance.
Repairs due to normal wear and tear are the owner's responsibility. Damage, abuse or alterations can void coverage. Customers outside Washington pay shipping both ways for inspections or repairs, plus applicable duty or customs fees.
