This exquisite engagement ring features a round brilliant center diamond with a wrapped halo and rounded sides, all set in polished platinum. It was created for a client from Bellevue, WA, who visited us in store and used inspiration pieces to come up with this design concept. Split Shank Design
The center round brilliant cut diamond of this ring is 1.11 carats. The platinum prongs holding the diamond in place are positioned at the compass points of north, south, east, and west, which allow a more even flow of the diamond halo. From the bottom of the ring, the band starts as one strand, but splits into two strands early on. One strand on each side has diamonds flowing up the side, and the other strand remains polished. As the strands work their way up towards the center stone, the diamond strands flow around the center diamond as well as its prongs. They wrap around in a halo and then tuck under each other. Meanwhile, the polished rails tuck under the halo as well to support the center stone and keep the lowest profile possible. Halo Engagement Rings
Diamond and Halo Accents
In total, there are 56 diamonds equaling .12 carats. They add just a touch of sparkle, and are bright cut set in the setting. They flow evenly around the center stone, eliminating the need for a gallery rail to support the center diamond.
There are many ways to customize this ring to fit your own style. Even just a metal change would completely alter the look, but changing the setting style of the accent diamonds would additionally change the design.

Physical model
A full-size wax model can be made to review scale, shape and proportions before production. It can be viewed in a showroom or shipped to you.
Approval and production
The design is approved before production begins. Your designer confirms the schedule, and our jewelers make, set and finish the piece.
Quality
Our custom jewelry follows design and construction standards for metal thickness, weight, stone support and setting security.

- The setting must have enough metal to support the stones and hold its shape through everyday wear. If an area needs more support, we address it before production.
- Diamond and gemstone selection
- We help you choose stones for your custom design, reviewing cut, color, clarity, consistency and fit. Your budget guides these choices; our standards for materials and craftsmanship remain the same.
- Final inspection
- Before completion, we review each custom piece for proportion, comfort, stone security and finish.

Coverage conditions
For Joseph Jewelry custom pieces, coverage begins with your signature. To keep it active, Joseph Jewelry must inspect and sign for your piece every six months and perform recommended repairs and maintenance.
Repairs due to normal wear and tear are the owner's responsibility. Damage, abuse or alterations can void coverage. Customers outside Washington pay shipping both ways for inspections or repairs, plus applicable duty or customs fees.
