Center Setting
At the top of this ring, a 0.75 carat princess cut diamond is held in four chevron prongs that cradle and protect its corners. The diamond is positioned so that each of these corners points to one of the compass positions, leaving two in line with the band. This angle makes the stone appear all the more striking, and it helps reinforce the contemporary elements of the design. Diamond Engagement Rings
Diamond Accents
The shank shoulders come to a point right where they meet the sides of the center setting, and that’s also where the diamond accents on the band begin. These include three princess cut diamonds on each side that are all bezel set in the compass position to mirror the shape and orientation of the stone at the top.
The band itself is straight, however, and so the spaces next to where the points of these diamonds meet are occupied by small, round bright cut set diamonds, which provides a lovely contrast and a hint of vintage flair. This is reinforced by the milgrain beading that lines the bezel settings of the princess cut stones, and all of these details combine to create a balanced, contemporary piece.
Euroshank
The lower portion of the shank features the soft corners of the Euroshank design. This is right in line with the contemporary themes found in the rest of the ring, and it also helps keep the ring upright when worn by balancing out the large stone at the top.
