Center Diamond
At the center of this ring is a 0.81 carat round brilliant cut diamond. It’s cradled by four platinum prongs that lift it up slightly above the surrounding halos. Round diamonds are the most popular choice for engagement rings, but there are many other options as well. For instance, if you were looking to customize this design, you could go with an oval or marquise in the center. A change like this would give the ring a substantially different look while leaving most of the design intact.
Double Halo
Surrounding the center diamond are two rings of small round split prong set diamonds, which form a double halo that helps to highlight and intensify the brilliance of the larger diamond. The inner ring of the halo sits slightly above the outer ring, just as the center diamond sits above the inner ring, and this arrangement helps to give a nice flow to the center setting as a whole. Band Design
The band is straight and slightly rounded on top, with just the tiniest bit of a taper as it nears the center setting. This detail adds to the elegance of the design, and it helps ease the transition from the band to the center setting above.

3D design review
After you accept the estimate and make a down payment, we create a 3D CAD model and rendered views. Revisions within the initial design parameters are included; changes to materials or their amounts are re-estimated.
Physical model
A full-size wax model can be made to review scale, shape and proportions before production. It can be viewed in a showroom or shipped to you.
Approval and production
The design is approved before production begins. Your designer confirms the schedule, and our jewelers make, set and finish the piece.
Quality
Our custom jewelry follows design and construction standards for metal thickness, weight, stone support and setting security.
- Structure and support
- The setting must have enough metal to support the stones and hold its shape through everyday wear. If an area needs more support, we address it before production.
- Diamond and gemstone selection
- We help you choose stones for your custom design, reviewing cut, color, clarity, consistency and fit. Your budget guides these choices; our standards for materials and craftsmanship remain the same.
- Final inspection
- Before completion, we review each custom piece for proportion, comfort, stone security and finish.

Coverage conditions
For Joseph Jewelry custom pieces, coverage begins with your signature. To keep it active, Joseph Jewelry must inspect and sign for your piece every six months and perform recommended repairs and maintenance.
Repairs due to normal wear and tear are the owner's responsibility. Damage, abuse or alterations can void coverage. Customers outside Washington pay shipping both ways for inspections or repairs, plus applicable duty or customs fees.
