This exquisite engagement ring features a round brilliant cut diamond flanked by trillion diamonds on either side, all set in a criss-cross platinum shank with bright cut set diamond accents. The design was developed for a client from Seattle, WA, who initially visited us in person in our Bellevue, WA showroom, and then completed the custom design process online.

Three-stone Center
Although the ring we first discussed featured a single round diamond in the center of the criss-cross shank, our design team worked up an alternate model as well. We felt that adding trillion-shaped diamonds to fill the space on either side of the center stone would really make for a stunning combination, and after seeing the mock-up, our client agreed. The center diamond in this ring is a round brilliant cut, and it comes in at just over one carat. It’s cradled beautifully by four prongs that rise up from the band below and that follow its contours almost exactly. The openness of the setting lets the true beauty of the diamond shine through from every angle, and the trillion-shaped stones tucked on the sides only intensify this effect.
Three Stone Engagement Rings
Split Shank
The shank of this ring splits just above the half-way point, and the two strands bend out a bit before coming back in to cross over each other on their way towards the center. They actually continue on to fully encircle the center setting, effectively creating a modified halo for all three stones.
Diamond Accents
Starting just below the split and continuing all the way around the center setting are bright cut set diamond accents covering the top of the shank. These add considerable sparkle to the piece, and their presence around the center diamonds works well to intensify their brilliance.

Design and estimate

3D design review
After you accept the estimate and make a down payment, we create a 3D CAD model and rendered views. Revisions within the initial design parameters are included; changes to materials or their amounts are re-estimated.
Physical model
A full-size wax model can be made to review scale, shape and proportions before production. It can be viewed in a showroom or shipped to you.
Approval and production
The design is approved before production begins. Your designer confirms the schedule, and our jewelers make, set and finish the piece.
Quality
Our custom jewelry follows design and construction standards for metal thickness, weight, stone support and setting security.
- Structure and support
- The setting must have enough metal to support the stones and hold its shape through everyday wear. If an area needs more support, we address it before production.
- Diamond and gemstone selection
- We help you choose stones for your custom design, reviewing cut, color, clarity, consistency and fit. Your budget guides these choices; our standards for materials and craftsmanship remain the same.
- Final inspection
- Before completion, we review each custom piece for proportion, comfort, stone security and finish.
Lifetime warranty and care
- Lifetime warrantyYour custom piece is covered against manufacturing defects.
- Inspection every six monthsOur jewelers inspect your piece and provide ongoing care for the custom jewelry we make for you.
- Complimentary cleaningVisit us every six months for a complimentary cleaning.
Coverage conditions
For Joseph Jewelry custom pieces, coverage begins with your signature. To keep it active, Joseph Jewelry must inspect and sign for your piece every six months and perform recommended repairs and maintenance.
Repairs due to normal wear and tear are the owner's responsibility. Damage, abuse or alterations can void coverage. Customers outside Washington pay shipping both ways for inspections or repairs, plus applicable duty or customs fees.
