Once we had a general idea about what she wanted, we put together a CAD model of the ring we proposed to build for her. She requested a few adjustments to the piece, including an increase in the size of the center diamond. She also asked that we create a wedding band to go with this one, and so we designed wedding ring #102811 to her specifications.
Center Diamond and Halo
The diamond at the center of this ring is 0.92 carats and princess cut. The four 14k white gold prongs holding it in place come straight up alongside the diamond, helping to accentuate the presentation of its clean, straight lines.
A squared halo of round bright cut set diamonds surrounds this center setting, and the extra light that these accent stones reflect up onto the larger diamond only helps to enhance its sparkle. Diamond and Milgrain Accents
Bright cut set diamonds run down both of the split shank shoulders to the mid-point on the band. These tie in nicely with the stones in the halo to help link the two parts of the piece. There are also bright cut set diamonds running around the sides of the halo, as well as a small row at the base of the main setting on both ring fronts.
All of the accent diamonds in this piece, including those in the halo, are lined with milgrain beading for a bit of vintage flair. This detail frames the stones beautifully, and it also creates another link between the center setting and the rest of the piece.
