First, your designer will work with you to solidify the details and general design of your ring. Next, your CAD artist will create 3D digital models of the design, printing you a wax model for you to see the proportions in real life. Solitaire Design
This ring is considered a solitaire because it features only one diamond. It's held in place by four traditional prongs and a cathedral. A cathedral style is indicated by the tops of the shank swooping upward to meet the head of the ring that holds the diamond. The body of this ring is polished and slightly squared along the outside edges, but this can be fully customized to a rounded shape or a knife-edge. Solitaire Engagement Rings
Organic Floral Elements
The most unique element to this ring is the basket holding the diamond. Hand-carved leaves are placed at an angle, as though they are being blown by the wind. They are textured like leaves and edged in milgrain for extra definition. The six leaves could represent a significant number to you, or our designers could add more or less. Unique Engagement Rings

Design and estimate
The initial design and estimate are free, with no obligation. Your designer discusses the materials, changes and budget with you before you commit.
3D design review
After you accept the estimate and make a down payment, we create a 3D CAD model and rendered views. Revisions within the initial design parameters are included; changes to materials or their amounts are re-estimated.
Physical model
A full-size wax model can be made to review scale, shape and proportions before production. It can be viewed in a showroom or shipped to you.
Approval and production
The design is approved before production begins. Your designer confirms the schedule, and our jewelers make, set and finish the piece.
Quality
Our custom jewelry follows design and construction standards for metal thickness, weight, stone support and setting security.
- Structure and support
- The setting must have enough metal to support the stones and hold its shape through everyday wear. If an area needs more support, we address it before production.
- Diamond and gemstone selection
- We help you choose stones for your custom design, reviewing cut, color, clarity, consistency and fit. Your budget guides these choices; our standards for materials and craftsmanship remain the same.
- Final inspection
- Before completion, we review each custom piece for proportion, comfort, stone security and finish.

Coverage conditions
For Joseph Jewelry custom pieces, coverage begins with your signature. To keep it active, Joseph Jewelry must inspect and sign for your piece every six months and perform recommended repairs and maintenance.
Repairs due to normal wear and tear are the owner's responsibility. Damage, abuse or alterations can void coverage. Customers outside Washington pay shipping both ways for inspections or repairs, plus applicable duty or customs fees.
