Two Stone Style
This birthstone engagement ring features two pear shaped center stones of 0.86 ctw each. The stones represent the months of June and September.
Alexandrite is one of the birthstones symbolizing the month of June. The other two are pearls and moonstone. An Alexandrite gem holds a unique characteristic when it comes to color. It is known as a color changing stone and to be rarely mined. When viewed in sunlight, an alexandrite gem appears blue-green, and shifts to reddish-purple when indoors. This birthstone’s trait adds an interesting detail to any piece.
The blue sapphire used in this ring symbolizes the month of September. It is a highly precious, blue colored, gemstone. The design of this engagement ring blends the blue tones of the sapphire with the fascinating color hues of the alexandrite.
Both stones are centrally located, with the pear tip of each pointing away from the other. The effect that this layout creates is so distinctive and adds an extra layer of detail. The overall look of this design is both unique and fun. The claw prong setting secures the two gemstones in place and contributes to its exceptional look.
Customization
You can recreate this design with the birthstones of your choice with a metal color of your preference. This piece could also be an inspiration for a family ring, in which you enjoy a cluster of smaller birthstones assorted together. Our designers are always ready to help you with any request and provide you with sketches and renderings of your dream piece.

Customizing This Design
Any Joseph Jewelry item can be customized or used as the starting point for a new custom design. The gemstones, metal, proportions, setting style, surface details, and overall profile can be adjusted to better match your preferences, style, and budget.
Every custom piece begins with a conversation about what you want to create and what matters most to you. You work one-on-one with a designer to refine the concept, review the design direction, and create a detailed 3D CAD image of the item before it is made.
After the design is approved, we can create a wax model so you can review the piece physically. This step helps you evaluate scale, proportions, shape, and overall presence before final production begins.
Once the wax model is approved, our jewelers craft the finished piece with attention to structure, finish, stone security, and long-term wear. Each adjustment is reviewed carefully so the final item feels intentional, balanced, and made specifically for you.
You do not need to have every detail figured out before starting. If you like this item but want to change the stone, metal, size, shape, width, engraving, or overall style, we can guide those decisions through the custom design process.
Quality & Craftsmanship
At Joseph Jewelry, quality begins with the structure. We follow strict design and construction standards for metal thickness, weight, stone support, setting security, and long-term durability. These details help ensure the item is substantial enough for everyday wear while still maintaining a refined appearance.
We do not design custom jewelry to be unnecessarily thin or fragile. If a setting, band, gallery, or accent detail needs more support, we address it before production begins. The goal is to protect the stones, preserve the shape of the ring, and create a piece that can be worn confidently over time.
Gemstone selection is also part of our quality process. We help choose the center stone, side stones, and melee diamonds used in each ring, reviewing them for cut, color, clarity, consistency, and how well they fit the design. Even when a ring is designed around a specific budget, we maintain careful standards for the materials and craftsmanship that determine the quality of the finished piece.
Before completion, each custom piece is reviewed for proportion, comfort, stone security, finishing, and long-term wear.
Care & Warranty
All Joseph Jewelry custom pieces are supported by our lifetime warranty. We also provide long-term care, including complimentary cleaning and regular inspection, so your jewelry can be maintained properly over time.
Routine inspection is especially valuable for pieces worn every day. It allows the setting, stones, and overall structure to be checked as the jewelry is worn.
