Description
This exquisite engagement ring features three oval diamonds prong set at the top, each of which is surrounded by its own split prong set halo of small round diamonds. Additional split prong set diamonds line the narrow white gold shank below, and custom filigree fills the spaces below the center setting on both ring fronts.

It was created for a client from Stanwood, WA, and we worked with her in person in our Bellevue, WA showroom as well as online to finalize the details of the piece. After seeing our initial set of CAD renderings, the client requested a few changes, and our designers made some suggestions as well. Three-stone Design
In the center of this ring, a 1.21 carat oval diamond is prong set in platinum. It’s flanked on either side by a smaller prong set oval diamond, the two of which total 0.83 carats together. They’re all oriented to sit lengthwise across the band, and the side stones are angled upward slightly beyond the curve of the shank, creating a dramatic display when the ring is viewed straight on from the top. Diamond Halos and Accents
Each of the three larger stones are surrounded by their own halo of small, round split prong set diamonds. The client initially wanted shared prong set diamonds for the halos and other accents in the ring, but after comparing that setting style to the split prong, she decided she liked the delicate look the latter created better.
These halos bring a lovely sparkle to the design, and they also highlight the elegant shape of the larger diamonds they surround. The additional light they reflect up helps those center diamonds shine more brilliantly, increasing the glamorous flair of the design, and they tie in nicely with the split prong set diamond accents running down the shank shoulders as well. Custom Filigree
On each ring front, custom filigree fills the spaces below each of the three sections of the center setting. The designs on each side are infinity symbols, while the center section holds two scrolls that curl away from each other, providing a nice balance and complementary style.

After you accept the estimate and make a down payment, we create a 3D CAD model and rendered views. Revisions within the initial design parameters are included; changes to materials or their amounts are re-estimated.
Physical model
A full-size wax model can be made to review scale, shape and proportions before production. It can be viewed in a showroom or shipped to you.
Approval and production
The design is approved before production begins. Your designer confirms the schedule, and our jewelers make, set and finish the piece.
Quality
Our custom jewelry follows design and construction standards for metal thickness, weight, stone support and setting security.
- Structure and support
- The setting must have enough metal to support the stones and hold its shape through everyday wear. If an area needs more support, we address it before production.
- Diamond and gemstone selection
- We help you choose stones for your custom design, reviewing cut, color, clarity, consistency and fit. Your budget guides these choices; our standards for materials and craftsmanship remain the same.
- Final inspection
- Before completion, we review each custom piece for proportion, comfort, stone security and finish.

Coverage conditions
For Joseph Jewelry custom pieces, coverage begins with your signature. To keep it active, Joseph Jewelry must inspect and sign for your piece every six months and perform recommended repairs and maintenance.
Repairs due to normal wear and tear are the owner's responsibility. Damage, abuse or alterations can void coverage. Customers outside Washington pay shipping both ways for inspections or repairs, plus applicable duty or customs fees.
