Item #103239 $3,407 Price does not include center stoneEngagement Ring Description
After hearing her initial thoughts about the type of features her dream ring would incorporate, we developed a rough sketch of the piece as we proposed to make it. She requested a few minor modifications and clarifications, and our CAD models were built to reflect that. She did come in to view a wax model of the ring to make sure every detail was perfect, and she was able to view the rubies in person and approve them as well. Design Your Own Engagement Ring
Center Setting and Halo
In the center of this ring, a 0.70 carat emerald cut diamond is held in place by four yellow gold talon prongs, and it’s oriented in an east-west direction, putting it in line with the rest of the band. Although our original designs had rounded prongs for the center setting, the client asked that they be made more pointed and flat on the end, and so we adjusted our models to accomplish this. Ruby Accents
The rubies in this piece were of special significance to the client, as they represented not only her birthstone but that of several other members of her family. Including them in this piece was a way for her to integrate a very personal detail, and because of this, she wanted to make sure they were just the right shade of red.
The first set of rubies we received weren’t exactly what she was looking for, so we sent them back and found some others for her to evaluate. She came into our showroom to inspect the selection when it arrived, and so she got the chance to pick out the two particular stones she wanted to make her piece complete.

Customizing This Design
Any Joseph Jewelry item can be customized or used as the starting point for a new custom design. The gemstones, metal, proportions, setting style, surface details, and overall profile can be adjusted to better match your preferences, style, and budget.
Every custom piece begins with a conversation about what you want to create and what matters most to you. You work one-on-one with a designer to refine the concept, review the design direction, and create a detailed 3D CAD image of the item before it is made.
After the design is approved, we can create a wax model so you can review the piece physically. This step helps you evaluate scale, proportions, shape, and overall presence before final production begins.
Once the wax model is approved, our jewelers craft the finished piece with attention to structure, finish, stone security, and long-term wear. Each adjustment is reviewed carefully so the final item feels intentional, balanced, and made specifically for you.
You do not need to have every detail figured out before starting. If you like this item but want to change the stone, metal, size, shape, width, engraving, or overall style, we can guide those decisions through the custom design process.
Quality & Craftsmanship
At Joseph Jewelry, quality begins with the structure. We follow strict design and construction standards for metal thickness, weight, stone support, setting security, and long-term durability. These details help ensure the item is substantial enough for everyday wear while still maintaining a refined appearance.
We do not design custom jewelry to be unnecessarily thin or fragile. If a setting, band, gallery, or accent detail needs more support, we address it before production begins. The goal is to protect the stones, preserve the shape of the ring, and create a piece that can be worn confidently over time.
Gemstone selection is also part of our quality process. We help choose the center stone, side stones, and melee diamonds used in each ring, reviewing them for cut, color, clarity, consistency, and how well they fit the design. Even when a ring is designed around a specific budget, we maintain careful standards for the materials and craftsmanship that determine the quality of the finished piece.
Before completion, each custom piece is reviewed for proportion, comfort, stone security, finishing, and long-term wear.
Care & Warranty
All Joseph Jewelry custom pieces are supported by our lifetime warranty. We also provide long-term care, including complimentary cleaning and regular inspection, so your jewelry can be maintained properly over time.
Routine inspection is especially valuable for pieces worn every day. It allows the setting, stones, and overall structure to be checked as the jewelry is worn.
