Description
This dazzling engagement ring features an Asscher cut diamond in a four-prong platinum setting atop a wide band that's lined with pave set diamond accents. It was created for a couple from Portland, OR who came into our Bellevue, WA showroom to begin the custom design process. After this initial meeting, we communicated with the clients through the online workroom we'd set up to manage their project, and they returned to the showroom to see and approve the printed wax model of the ring before we began actual production. Center Setting
The largest stone in this ring is a 5.52 carat Asscher cut diamond that the clients provided. With their input, we built the ring around the stone, choosing elements along the way that highlighted the unique beauty of this particular diamond. The square shape of the Asscher cut is complemented nicely by the four-prong setting it's held in, and the brilliant white of the stone is similarly enhanced by the silvery shine of the metal. Band Design and Diamond Accents
The band of this ring is flat and wide, creating a satisfying visual balance for the piece overall. The center stone is still slightly wider than the band, however, and this only serves to highlight the diamond's impressive dimensions and elegant lines. Diamond Engagement Rings
The top of the band is also covered by small round diamonds that are edgeless pave set, which brings a wealth of glamorous flair to the design. The 151 accent diamonds included in this ring combine to add an additional 2.28 carats to the piece, and the use of the edgeless pave setting really brings the diamonds front and center by minimizing the amount of metal visible around the stones.

3D design review
After you accept the estimate and make a down payment, we create a 3D CAD model and rendered views. Revisions within the initial design parameters are included; changes to materials or their amounts are re-estimated.
Physical model
A full-size wax model can be made to review scale, shape and proportions before production. It can be viewed in a showroom or shipped to you.
Approval and production
The design is approved before production begins. Your designer confirms the schedule, and our jewelers make, set and finish the piece.
Quality
Our custom jewelry follows design and construction standards for metal thickness, weight, stone support and setting security.
- Structure and support
- The setting must have enough metal to support the stones and hold its shape through everyday wear. If an area needs more support, we address it before production.
- Diamond and gemstone selection
- We help you choose stones for your custom design, reviewing cut, color, clarity, consistency and fit. Your budget guides these choices; our standards for materials and craftsmanship remain the same.
- Final inspection
- Before completion, we review each custom piece for proportion, comfort, stone security and finish.

Coverage conditions
For Joseph Jewelry custom pieces, coverage begins with your signature. To keep it active, Joseph Jewelry must inspect and sign for your piece every six months and perform recommended repairs and maintenance.
Repairs due to normal wear and tear are the owner's responsibility. Damage, abuse or alterations can void coverage. Customers outside Washington pay shipping both ways for inspections or repairs, plus applicable duty or customs fees.
