Description
This stunning engagement ring features a round diamond in a six-prong setting atop a white gold shank, accented with small round bright cut set diamonds. It was created for a client from Seattle, WA, who reached out to us online initially to share some inspiration pieces and discuss her options for developing her own custom design. We worked with her through our online portal, and she also came into our Bellevue, WA showroom to view center stone options and a wax model of her piece before giving approval to move things into production. Center Setting
At the top of this ring, a 1.55 carat round brilliant cut diamond is displayed beautifully in a six-prong setting made from 14k white gold. The client preferred the look of the six-prong setting to that of the four-prong setting, and this design choice brings a lovely vintage flair to the piece. The client also visited our showroom in person to pick out her center stone from a selection of excellent options we were able to source for her based on her desired specifications and budget. Diamond Accents
Running down each shank shoulder is a line of small, round bright cut set diamonds. These bring another layer of glamorous sparkle to the design, and they're complemented nicely by the lovely silvery shine of the metal they're set in. These rows of accent stones stop at the mid-point on each side of the band, allowing for the maximum visual impact on the top of the ring without extending the diamonds down to areas where they'd be more prone to damage. There are 54 accent diamonds in this ring, and they combine to total 0.20 carats. In addition to the accents on the band, there are also diamonds bright cut set along the gallery rail in the center setting, and this added touch brings some extra sparkle to the top of the piece. If you were interested in customizing this design, one option might be to highlight the vintage themes already present in the design through the addition of milgrain beading and custom hand engraving.

After you accept the estimate and make a down payment, we create a 3D CAD model and rendered views. Revisions within the initial design parameters are included; changes to materials or their amounts are re-estimated.
Physical model
A full-size wax model can be made to review scale, shape and proportions before production. It can be viewed in a showroom or shipped to you.
Approval and production
The design is approved before production begins. Your designer confirms the schedule, and our jewelers make, set and finish the piece.
Quality
Our custom jewelry follows design and construction standards for metal thickness, weight, stone support and setting security.
- Structure and support
- The setting must have enough metal to support the stones and hold its shape through everyday wear. If an area needs more support, we address it before production.
- Diamond and gemstone selection
- We help you choose stones for your custom design, reviewing cut, color, clarity, consistency and fit. Your budget guides these choices; our standards for materials and craftsmanship remain the same.
- Final inspection
- Before completion, we review each custom piece for proportion, comfort, stone security and finish.

Coverage conditions
For Joseph Jewelry custom pieces, coverage begins with your signature. To keep it active, Joseph Jewelry must inspect and sign for your piece every six months and perform recommended repairs and maintenance.
Repairs due to normal wear and tear are the owner's responsibility. Damage, abuse or alterations can void coverage. Customers outside Washington pay shipping both ways for inspections or repairs, plus applicable duty or customs fees.
