We took all of the information and examples she shared with us and developed a unique design that she loved. Working with our team, she explored a few different options for tweaking the piece to get in all of the features she wanted. Although she never visited our Bellevue, WA showroom personally, our custom design system ensured that the ring we finally produced for her was just what she was looking for. Center Diamond and Halo
The diamond in the center of this ring is a 0.74 carat marquise cut stone. It’s bezel set in 14k white gold, and milgrain beading runs all the way around the setting as well, framing it beautifully and adding to the diamond’s sparkle. A halo of black diamonds encircles the center white diamond, and this band is broken in the middle of each side by a round bezel set white diamond. Diamond Engagement Rings
Our client had originally wanted the center diamond to be black, but after discussing the design with her fiance and exploring the various options regarding different types and combinations of stones, she settled on this configuration. The contrast between the black and white diamonds adds wonderful depth to the piece, and it makes for a truly eye-catching display. Halo Engagement Rings
Accent Stones and Band Design
Bezel set peek-a-boo emeralds appear on each ring front, adding a flash of color and bringing a nice balance to the piece. They are integrated into the filigree design that fills the space below the main setting, and this matches the filigree that fills the center of the shank shoulders as well.
Custom hand engraving covers the remainder of the band down to the three-quarter point, and this is lined with milgrain as well, which helps to tie back into the center setting and give the ring a nice sense of completion.

Customizing This Design
Any Joseph Jewelry item can be customized or used as the starting point for a new custom design. The gemstones, metal, proportions, setting style, surface details, and overall profile can be adjusted to better match your preferences, style, and budget.
Every custom piece begins with a conversation about what you want to create and what matters most to you. You work one-on-one with a designer to refine the concept, review the design direction, and create a detailed 3D CAD image of the item before it is made.
After the design is approved, we can create a wax model so you can review the piece physically. This step helps you evaluate scale, proportions, shape, and overall presence before final production begins.
Once the wax model is approved, our jewelers craft the finished piece with attention to structure, finish, stone security, and long-term wear. Each adjustment is reviewed carefully so the final item feels intentional, balanced, and made specifically for you.
You do not need to have every detail figured out before starting. If you like this item but want to change the stone, metal, size, shape, width, engraving, or overall style, we can guide those decisions through the custom design process.
Quality & Craftsmanship
At Joseph Jewelry, quality begins with the structure. We follow strict design and construction standards for metal thickness, weight, stone support, setting security, and long-term durability. These details help ensure the item is substantial enough for everyday wear while still maintaining a refined appearance.
We do not design custom jewelry to be unnecessarily thin or fragile. If a setting, band, gallery, or accent detail needs more support, we address it before production begins. The goal is to protect the stones, preserve the shape of the ring, and create a piece that can be worn confidently over time.
Gemstone selection is also part of our quality process. We help choose the center stone, side stones, and melee diamonds used in each ring, reviewing them for cut, color, clarity, consistency, and how well they fit the design. Even when a ring is designed around a specific budget, we maintain careful standards for the materials and craftsmanship that determine the quality of the finished piece.
Before completion, each custom piece is reviewed for proportion, comfort, stone security, finishing, and long-term wear.
Care & Warranty
All Joseph Jewelry custom pieces are supported by our lifetime warranty. We also provide long-term care, including complimentary cleaning and regular inspection, so your jewelry can be maintained properly over time.
Routine inspection is especially valuable for pieces worn every day. It allows the setting, stones, and overall structure to be checked as the jewelry is worn.
