Description
This elegant engagement ring features an old European cut diamond at the center in an eight-prong setting with a floral theme. This piece was custom designed for a client who wanted to reset the stone from her original wedding set, and it combines many subtle design elements to create a sophisticated piece with an antique flair.

Center Diamond
This ring was built around an old European cut center diamond. It is a 2.37 carat stone, and the eight-prong cathedral setting both holds it securely and creates a flower-like look, which works well with the rest of the piece. Diamond Engagement Rings
Accent Stones
Flanking the diamond on either side of the cathedral setting are bright cut set diamonds and four peridot stones worked into the leaf shapes at the top of the shank. These highlight the sparkle of the center diamond well, and they also help tie the hand engraving on the rest of the shank together with the brilliant stone at the top.
Filigree and Hand Engraving
To complete the floral theme, the client decided on a beautiful filigree around the base of the setting, as well as delicate hand engraving covering the rest of the shank. To ensure the pattern for the engraving was just right, we provided her with several options and let her choose the one she liked best.

The hand engraving we provide is completed after the ring is cast, which ensures precision and a level of detail that are hard to match. Design and estimate

3D design review
After you accept the estimate and make a down payment, we create a 3D CAD model and rendered views. Revisions within the initial design parameters are included; changes to materials or their amounts are re-estimated.
Physical model
A full-size wax model can be made to review scale, shape and proportions before production. It can be viewed in a showroom or shipped to you.
Approval and production
The design is approved before production begins. Your designer confirms the schedule, and our jewelers make, set and finish the piece.
Quality
Our custom jewelry follows design and construction standards for metal thickness, weight, stone support and setting security.
- Structure and support
- The setting must have enough metal to support the stones and hold its shape through everyday wear. If an area needs more support, we address it before production.
- Diamond and gemstone selection
- We help you choose stones for your custom design, reviewing cut, color, clarity, consistency and fit. Your budget guides these choices; our standards for materials and craftsmanship remain the same.
- Final inspection
- Before completion, we review each custom piece for proportion, comfort, stone security and finish.

Coverage conditions
For Joseph Jewelry custom pieces, coverage begins with your signature. To keep it active, Joseph Jewelry must inspect and sign for your piece every six months and perform recommended repairs and maintenance.
Repairs due to normal wear and tear are the owner's responsibility. Damage, abuse or alterations can void coverage. Customers outside Washington pay shipping both ways for inspections or repairs, plus applicable duty or customs fees.
