Custom Diamond Cluster Engagement Ring

Center Diamond
At the center of this design is a 1.20 carat emerald cut diamond, and it’s prong set at an angle, which allows two of its corners to be nearly inline with the finger when worn. This was always the stone the client wanted at the heart of her piece, and its clean lines and sharp angles add an interesting dynamic to the somewhat organic clustering of the remaining stones in the ring. Diamond Cluster
Surrounding the center diamond are 13 additional diamonds of varying sizes, all of which are shared prong set to allow them to sit as close to each other as possible. After the center, the largest of the cluster is an Asscher cut stone that sits along one of the center diamond’s longer sides, while another smaller Asscher cut is tucked into the cluster elsewhere. These two stones together total exactly half a carat. Diamond Engagement Rings
Also included in the cluster are a marquise cut, a pear cut, and nine round diamonds of varying sizes, three of which extend beyond the cluster to run down the top of each shank shoulder. This detail in particular allows for a nice flow from the large center setting to the narrow yellow gold band.
As a final touch, a small round ruby is flush set on the inside of the band towards the bottom. This detail added special personal meaning for the client, and tucking it inside the band allowed her to work it in without disrupting the all-diamond look she wanted for the top of the piece.

Customizing This Design
Any Joseph Jewelry item can be customized or used as the starting point for a new custom design. The gemstones, metal, proportions, setting style, surface details, and overall profile can be adjusted to better match your preferences, style, and budget.
Every custom piece begins with a conversation about what you want to create and what matters most to you. You work one-on-one with a designer to refine the concept, review the design direction, and create a detailed 3D CAD image of the item before it is made.
After the design is approved, we can create a wax model so you can review the piece physically. This step helps you evaluate scale, proportions, shape, and overall presence before final production begins.
Once the wax model is approved, our jewelers craft the finished piece with attention to structure, finish, stone security, and long-term wear. Each adjustment is reviewed carefully so the final item feels intentional, balanced, and made specifically for you.
You do not need to have every detail figured out before starting. If you like this item but want to change the stone, metal, size, shape, width, engraving, or overall style, we can guide those decisions through the custom design process.
Quality & Craftsmanship
At Joseph Jewelry, quality begins with the structure. We follow strict design and construction standards for metal thickness, weight, stone support, setting security, and long-term durability. These details help ensure the item is substantial enough for everyday wear while still maintaining a refined appearance.
We do not design custom jewelry to be unnecessarily thin or fragile. If a setting, band, gallery, or accent detail needs more support, we address it before production begins. The goal is to protect the stones, preserve the shape of the ring, and create a piece that can be worn confidently over time.
Gemstone selection is also part of our quality process. We help choose the center stone, side stones, and melee diamonds used in each ring, reviewing them for cut, color, clarity, consistency, and how well they fit the design. Even when a ring is designed around a specific budget, we maintain careful standards for the materials and craftsmanship that determine the quality of the finished piece.
Before completion, each custom piece is reviewed for proportion, comfort, stone security, finishing, and long-term wear.
Care & Warranty
All Joseph Jewelry custom pieces are supported by our lifetime warranty. We also provide long-term care, including complimentary cleaning and regular inspection, so your jewelry can be maintained properly over time.
Routine inspection is especially valuable for pieces worn every day. It allows the setting, stones, and overall structure to be checked as the jewelry is worn.
