This stunning engagement ring features a round brilliant cut diamond prong set atop a tapered cathedral shank, with bright cut set diamond accents on the fronts. It was created for a client from Redmond, WA, who visited our Bellevue, WA showroom personally to get some inspiration and begin the custom design process.

Center Diamond
The center diamond in this ring is 1.25 carats and round brilliant cut. It’s held securely in four platinum prongs that rise up from the criss-cross design on the fronts of the ring. It’s also protected on either side by the flat ends of the cathedral shank that come up to meet it near the top. It’s a design that combines elements of both classical and contemporary styles smoothly into a truly elegant piece.
Diamond Accents
The crossing strands on the fronts of the ring that eventually form the prongs for the main setting are also lined with round bright cut set diamond accents. These provide some surprise sparkle when the ring is viewed at an angle, and they also help highlight the graceful lines of the design. The top of the band is notably free of accents, and this contributes to the general contemporary overtones of the ring.

Design and estimate
The initial design and estimate are free, with no obligation. Your designer discusses the materials, changes and budget with you before you commit.
3D design review
After you accept the estimate and make a down payment, we create a 3D CAD model and rendered views. Revisions within the initial design parameters are included; changes to materials or their amounts are re-estimated.
Physical model
A full-size wax model can be made to review scale, shape and proportions before production. It can be viewed in a showroom or shipped to you.
Approval and production
The design is approved before production begins. Your designer confirms the schedule, and our jewelers make, set and finish the piece.
Quality
Our custom jewelry follows design and construction standards for metal thickness, weight, stone support and setting security.
- Structure and support
- The setting must have enough metal to support the stones and hold its shape through everyday wear. If an area needs more support, we address it before production.
- Diamond and gemstone selection
- We help you choose stones for your custom design, reviewing cut, color, clarity, consistency and fit. Your budget guides these choices; our standards for materials and craftsmanship remain the same.
- Final inspection
- Before completion, we review each custom piece for proportion, comfort, stone security and finish.

Coverage conditions
For Joseph Jewelry custom pieces, coverage begins with your signature. To keep it active, Joseph Jewelry must inspect and sign for your piece every six months and perform recommended repairs and maintenance.
Repairs due to normal wear and tear are the owner's responsibility. Damage, abuse or alterations can void coverage. Customers outside Washington pay shipping both ways for inspections or repairs, plus applicable duty or customs fees.
