Description
This dazzling engagement ring features a cushion cut stone prong set at the top, accented by split prong set diamonds on the gallery rail and running down the shoulders of the narrow white gold shank. It was created for a client from Seattle, WA, who visited our Bellevue, WA showroom in person to begin the custom design process. Center Setting
At the top of this ring, a 7.5mm cushion cut gem is held in place by four prongs made of 14k white gold. The prongs meet the stone at its rounded corners, helping to emphasize its symmetrical dimensions as well as the elegant lines of the cut. The cushion shape brings with it some classical overtones, and the brilliant white sparkle of the center is maximized by the openness of the setting, which ensures that plenty of light can reach the stone. Just below the girdle, a gallery rail runs around the stone between the prongs, and this brings structural stability as well as a satisfying visual balance to the piece. The gallery rail is also lined with small, round split prong set diamonds, which work to add a bit of a glamorous flair to the design.
Diamond Accents
The impact of that dynamic detail is reinforced by the presence of larger round diamonds that are split prong set running down the shank shoulder, almost to the bottom of the ring itself. Customization Options
If you’re interested in customizing a ring like this, you may want to start by choosing a different type or shape of stone for the center. Another option might be to rotate the center setting so that the corners of the stone sit at the compass positions, as this would bring a somewhat star-like quality to the center setting. Using a different metal for the band is worth considering as well, and both rose and yellow gold would add their own character along with a compelling contrast to the piece.

A full-size wax model can be made to review scale, shape and proportions before production. It can be viewed in a showroom or shipped to you.
Approval and production
The design is approved before production begins. Your designer confirms the schedule, and our jewelers make, set and finish the piece.

Our custom jewelry follows design and construction standards for metal thickness, weight, stone support and setting security.

- The setting must have enough metal to support the stones and hold its shape through everyday wear. If an area needs more support, we address it before production.

- Before completion, we review each custom piece for proportion, comfort, stone security and finish.

Coverage conditions
For Joseph Jewelry custom pieces, coverage begins with your signature. To keep it active, Joseph Jewelry must inspect and sign for your piece every six months and perform recommended repairs and maintenance.
Repairs due to normal wear and tear are the owner's responsibility. Damage, abuse or alterations can void coverage. Customers outside Washington pay shipping both ways for inspections or repairs, plus applicable duty or customs fees.
