After exchanging a few messages with our team and seeing an initial sketch of her personalized design, she came into our Bellevue, WA showroom to discuss the project in more detail and to look at some example pieces. After a few rounds of revision, she settled on the design seen here, and she was very happy with the finished product.
Ideal Square Diamond and Halo
The centerpiece of this ring is a 1.01 carat Ideal Square diamond, and it’s held securely in place by four platinum double prongs. The Ideal Square cut takes several times as long to complete as a conventional cut, but it maximizes the brilliance of the stone to create a truly stunning display.
The square shape of the diamond in this ring also lent itself well to the antique aesthetic our client wanted to go with. To reinforce this theme, the center stone is surrounded by a squared halo of round bright cut set diamonds, and this is lined with milgrain beading for a truly classic look. Diamond Engagement Rings
Accent Stones and Engraving
Round bright cut set diamonds lined with milgrain also run down the shoulders of the cathedral shank to the mid-point on the band. These bring wonderful sparkle to the piece, and they help unite the two sections of the ring.
The remainder of the band, except for a small section at the very bottom, is covered with a beautiful custom hand engraved pattern lined with milgrain, which completes the classical style. The milgrain is integrated into the halo as well, and it also lines the strips of metal that make up the basket below the center stone.
