This dazzling engagement ring features a pear shaped diamond prong set in the center of a contoured double halo of shared prong set diamonds, accented by bright cut set diamonds on the yellow gold band below. It was created for a couple from Bellevue, WA, who visited our Bellevue, WA showroom personally to view some sample pieces and begin the custom design process.

On that visit, they found a ring that they loved and wanted to customize. We developed a concept sketch of their unique piece based on the information they provided, and once they approved that, we moved into the CAD phase of their project so that we could finalize the details and ensure that everything was exactly the way they wanted it. Center Diamond and Double Halo
At the top of this ring, an pear shaped diamond is held in place by three prongs made of 14k yellow gold. The contrast between the warmth of the metal and brilliant white of the diamond helps to intensify the beauty of each element, and the center setting is made even more dramatic by the addition of a double halo surrounding the larger stone. The inner halo follows the contours of the pear shaped diamond exactly, and it’s composed of small round diamonds that are all shared prong set in yellow gold. On the outside of this, shared prong set round diamonds create another halo, but the stones in this one are not all the same size. Instead they alternate between smaller and larger in a repeating pattern that continues all the way around and that gives the center setting as a whole a starburst-like appearance. Band Design and Diamond Accents
The band is narrow and straight all the way around, and it’s lined with bright cut set diamonds down to the mid-point on each side. These accents tie in with the stones in the halo, helping to unite the design and enhance the glamorous flair of the piece as a whole.

3D design review
After you accept the estimate and make a down payment, we create a 3D CAD model and rendered views. Revisions within the initial design parameters are included; changes to materials or their amounts are re-estimated.
Physical model
A full-size wax model can be made to review scale, shape and proportions before production. It can be viewed in a showroom or shipped to you.
Approval and production
The design is approved before production begins. Your designer confirms the schedule, and our jewelers make, set and finish the piece.
Quality
Our custom jewelry follows design and construction standards for metal thickness, weight, stone support and setting security.
- Structure and support
- The setting must have enough metal to support the stones and hold its shape through everyday wear. If an area needs more support, we address it before production.
- Diamond and gemstone selection
- We help you choose stones for your custom design, reviewing cut, color, clarity, consistency and fit. Your budget guides these choices; our standards for materials and craftsmanship remain the same.
- Final inspection
- Before completion, we review each custom piece for proportion, comfort, stone security and finish.

Coverage conditions
For Joseph Jewelry custom pieces, coverage begins with your signature. To keep it active, Joseph Jewelry must inspect and sign for your piece every six months and perform recommended repairs and maintenance.
Repairs due to normal wear and tear are the owner's responsibility. Damage, abuse or alterations can void coverage. Customers outside Washington pay shipping both ways for inspections or repairs, plus applicable duty or customs fees.
