Description
This exquisite engagement ring features a round black diamond surrounded by a halo of French cut set diamonds, with additional diamond accents on the rose gold band. It was created for a client from Seattle, WA, who was inspired by the engagement ring in our bridal set #101956. She requested some adjustments to the design to make it more her own, and we integrated them to produce a piece she truly loved.

Black Diamond Center
The stone at the center of this ring is a 1.24 carat round black diamond, whose beautiful, rich color contrasts wonderfully with both the rose gold of the band and the white diamond accent stones. Black diamonds are associated with everlasting love, strength, and wisdom, making them a great choice if you’re looking for an alternative to the traditional white diamond engagement ring. Diamond Halo and Accents
Surrounding the center stone is a halo of French cut set diamonds, which bring excellent contrast while also adding some sparkle to the ring. The halo is a popular feature in engagement rings, and it helps take this ring in a decidedly vintage direction. The choice of setting also works with that theme, and the contrast produced by the placement of these brilliant white diamonds next to the larger black one makes for a truly stunning display.
To complete the look, split prong set white diamonds also run down the shank to the three-quarter point, and more French cut set diamonds line the lower portion of the main setting on both ring fronts.

Physical model
A full-size wax model can be made to review scale, shape and proportions before production. It can be viewed in a showroom or shipped to you.
Approval and production
The design is approved before production begins. Your designer confirms the schedule, and our jewelers make, set and finish the piece.
Quality
Our custom jewelry follows design and construction standards for metal thickness, weight, stone support and setting security.

- The setting must have enough metal to support the stones and hold its shape through everyday wear. If an area needs more support, we address it before production.
- Diamond and gemstone selection
- We help you choose stones for your custom design, reviewing cut, color, clarity, consistency and fit. Your budget guides these choices; our standards for materials and craftsmanship remain the same.
- Final inspection
- Before completion, we review each custom piece for proportion, comfort, stone security and finish.

Coverage conditions
For Joseph Jewelry custom pieces, coverage begins with your signature. To keep it active, Joseph Jewelry must inspect and sign for your piece every six months and perform recommended repairs and maintenance.
Repairs due to normal wear and tear are the owner's responsibility. Damage, abuse or alterations can void coverage. Customers outside Washington pay shipping both ways for inspections or repairs, plus applicable duty or customs fees.

My fiancee (then my girlfriend) went to check out Joseph Jewelry. My intention was to give her a better idea of what kind of ring she wanted. I didn't expect what happened next. We decided to go the custom ring route and it was an excellent process. Andrea was very respectful, personable, thorough, and detailed every step of the way. She was excited to incorporate all the ideas I had in mind. The CAD designs allowed for very detailed images and any modifications requested were shown quickly.
When the ring was finally finished (two weeks early), the entire team was excited with the final product. Seeing it in person was absolutely STUNNING. I honestly couldn't have been more satisfied with the whole process of purchasing this ring for my now fiancee.
