Custom Solitaire Diamond Engagement Ring
Item #103144Engagement Ring Description
Center Diamond
At the top of this ring, a 0.25 carat marquise shaped diamond is set in four white gold chevron prongs. These types of prongs form a V shape as they cup the corners of the stones they hold, and this can provide a lovely frame highlighting the elegant shape of the diamond.
In the case of this ring, the chevron prongs emerge out of the ends of the 18k white gold shank as they twist away from each other just as they reach the diamond. This graceful movement complements the shape of the diamond nicely, and it also gives a bit of subtle intricacy to the otherwise minimalist design.
Solitaire Engagement Rings
This ring is considered a solitaire because it only contains one gemstone. When it comes to solitaire engagement rings, the gemstone is usually a diamond, although sapphires are a popular alternative to fill this role. The solitaire style is quite a traditional choice, but it can take many forms and incorporate many other types of features to help you make your piece unique. Solitaire Engagement Rings
The shape of stone you choose, the setting stye used, and the choice of metal for the band will all impact the final appearance of your ring. There are quite a few details you can add as well, including hand-engraving, milgrain beading, custom filigree, and split or wrapped shank designs.
With all of these options available, it can be hard to even know where to begin the custom design process. To help you with this, we have a Ring Builder feature on our website that allows you to select the types of features you think you’d like to include in your ring. This gives our designers a good base of information to start with in putting together a sketch of something that might appeal to you, and our custom design process is set up to allow you to modify these initial designs as many times as necessary until you’re completely satisfied.

Customizing This Design
Any Joseph Jewelry item can be customized or used as the starting point for a new custom design. The gemstones, metal, proportions, setting style, surface details, and overall profile can be adjusted to better match your preferences, style, and budget.
Every custom piece begins with a conversation about what you want to create and what matters most to you. You work one-on-one with a designer to refine the concept, review the design direction, and create a detailed 3D CAD image of the item before it is made.
After the design is approved, we can create a wax model so you can review the piece physically. This step helps you evaluate scale, proportions, shape, and overall presence before final production begins.
Once the wax model is approved, our jewelers craft the finished piece with attention to structure, finish, stone security, and long-term wear. Each adjustment is reviewed carefully so the final item feels intentional, balanced, and made specifically for you.
You do not need to have every detail figured out before starting. If you like this item but want to change the stone, metal, size, shape, width, engraving, or overall style, we can guide those decisions through the custom design process.
Quality & Craftsmanship
At Joseph Jewelry, quality begins with the structure. We follow strict design and construction standards for metal thickness, weight, stone support, setting security, and long-term durability. These details help ensure the item is substantial enough for everyday wear while still maintaining a refined appearance.
We do not design custom jewelry to be unnecessarily thin or fragile. If a setting, band, gallery, or accent detail needs more support, we address it before production begins. The goal is to protect the stones, preserve the shape of the ring, and create a piece that can be worn confidently over time.
Gemstone selection is also part of our quality process. We help choose the center stone, side stones, and melee diamonds used in each ring, reviewing them for cut, color, clarity, consistency, and how well they fit the design. Even when a ring is designed around a specific budget, we maintain careful standards for the materials and craftsmanship that determine the quality of the finished piece.
Before completion, each custom piece is reviewed for proportion, comfort, stone security, finishing, and long-term wear.
Care & Warranty
All Joseph Jewelry custom pieces are supported by our lifetime warranty. We also provide long-term care, including complimentary cleaning and regular inspection, so your jewelry can be maintained properly over time.
Routine inspection is especially valuable for pieces worn every day. It allows the setting, stones, and overall structure to be checked as the jewelry is worn.

Thank you, Joseph Jewelry, for your excellent service! My fiance and I were served courteously and professionally every time that we visited or called. Andrea kindly talked us through the custom design process, and Usiel provided clear and helpful online communication while crafting the ring.
