Custom Two-tone Solitaire Diamond Engagement Ring
Item #103329 $4,196 Price does not include center stoneEngagement Ring Description
Diamond Solitaire
At the center of this ring is a 1.20 carat cushion shaped diamond held in a tension setting. Because this diamond is the only gemstone in the ring, the piece is considered a solitaire, which is a traditional design for an engagement ring. The choice of a cushion shape for the diamond is not as common, however, nor is the makeup of the main setting holding the diamond. Solitaire Engagement Rings
The two main pieces of the tension setting meet the diamond in the middle of the sides opposite the band. This creates a fluid movement in the shank shoulders as they adjust to move around the stone and assume the proper positions. That graceful curving moment complements the shape of the diamond nicely, and it gives a vaguely organic feel to the design. One of a Kind Engagement Rings
Two-tone Band
The band is made from 14k rose gold and platinum, with each metal continuing all the way around the ring on one side. This also means that one side of the center setting is made from the rose gold while the other is made from platinum, and that contrast helps to enhance the unique feel of the design.
The difference between the two metals is further highlighted by the use of contrasting finishes, as the rose gold portion is brushed while the platinum is polished. The inspiration piece the client shared with us used yellow gold rather than rose, and that was one of the main changes he made when customizing his piece.

Customizing This Design
Any Joseph Jewelry item can be customized or used as the starting point for a new custom design. The gemstones, metal, proportions, setting style, surface details, and overall profile can be adjusted to better match your preferences, style, and budget.
Every custom piece begins with a conversation about what you want to create and what matters most to you. You work one-on-one with a designer to refine the concept, review the design direction, and create a detailed 3D CAD image of the item before it is made.
After the design is approved, we can create a wax model so you can review the piece physically. This step helps you evaluate scale, proportions, shape, and overall presence before final production begins.
Once the wax model is approved, our jewelers craft the finished piece with attention to structure, finish, stone security, and long-term wear. Each adjustment is reviewed carefully so the final item feels intentional, balanced, and made specifically for you.
You do not need to have every detail figured out before starting. If you like this item but want to change the stone, metal, size, shape, width, engraving, or overall style, we can guide those decisions through the custom design process.
Quality & Craftsmanship
At Joseph Jewelry, quality begins with the structure. We follow strict design and construction standards for metal thickness, weight, stone support, setting security, and long-term durability. These details help ensure the item is substantial enough for everyday wear while still maintaining a refined appearance.
We do not design custom jewelry to be unnecessarily thin or fragile. If a setting, band, gallery, or accent detail needs more support, we address it before production begins. The goal is to protect the stones, preserve the shape of the ring, and create a piece that can be worn confidently over time.
Gemstone selection is also part of our quality process. We help choose the center stone, side stones, and melee diamonds used in each ring, reviewing them for cut, color, clarity, consistency, and how well they fit the design. Even when a ring is designed around a specific budget, we maintain careful standards for the materials and craftsmanship that determine the quality of the finished piece.
Before completion, each custom piece is reviewed for proportion, comfort, stone security, finishing, and long-term wear.
Care & Warranty
All Joseph Jewelry custom pieces are supported by our lifetime warranty. We also provide long-term care, including complimentary cleaning and regular inspection, so your jewelry can be maintained properly over time.
Routine inspection is especially valuable for pieces worn every day. It allows the setting, stones, and overall structure to be checked as the jewelry is worn.
