Custom Two-tone Three Stone Diamond Engagement Ring
Item #103121 $2,882 Price does not include center stoneEngagement Ring Description
This stunning engagement ring features a round brilliant cut diamond prong set in white gold, with baguette diamonds and custom bead work accents on the yellow gold band. It was created for a client from Los Angeles, CA, who came to us to have a new engagement ring made. Her existing one was her fiancee’s grandmother’s and she wanted to use the three diamonds it contained in an original setting based on the inspiration piece she shared with us.
To start the custom design process, one of our artists worked with her to learn a bit about what she was envisioning so that he could create a sketch of her custom piece. Once she was satisfied with that, we moved on to the CAD phase in which one of our expert designers developed highly-detailed 3D models of the piece.
We went through several rounds of modifications, and we grew wax models of various versions of the design so the client could inspect them in person and make absolutely sure she loved them before giving approval for us to move into production.
Design Your Own Engagement Ring
Center Diamond and Setting
At the center of this ring is a round brilliant cut diamond held in place by four 14k white gold prongs. These curl up over the diamond in such a way as to make it seem like more of a cushion shape, which was something the client loved about her original ring and that she wanted to preserve in the new one. The use of white gold for the setting goes along with the shape of the prongs to help achieve this effect, and the two-tone look it creates lends a unique flair to the ring as well.
Baguette Accents
Each shank shoulder holds a bar set baguette diamond for some added sparkle and a wonderful contrast in shapes. These were also in the client’s original piece, and while her inspiration ring had three baguettes on each side, she preferred to stick with just one for her own design. The bars holding the baguettes help highlight their angular shape, which makes them the perfect counterpoint to the large round diamond above.
Band Design
The band itself is straight and narrow, and it’s studded with custom beading for a textured and unique look. Getting the style and placement of this beading just right was very important to the client, as it was one of the main reasons she was attracted to the inspiration piece to begin with. Our initial models had three rows of beads, but in order to get the thin, delicate look she was after for the band, the client decided to go with only one row of beads running all the way around the shank.
As a finishing touch a larger rounded bead sits between the center diamond and the baguette accent on each side. These break up the line of diamonds a bit, and they also help balance the narrow band with the large round stone at the top.
Customizing This Design
Any Joseph Jewelry item can be customized or used as the starting point for a new custom design. The gemstones, metal, proportions, setting style, surface details, and overall profile can be adjusted to better match your preferences, style, and budget.
Every custom piece begins with a conversation about what you want to create and what matters most to you. You work one-on-one with a designer to refine the concept, review the design direction, and create a detailed 3D CAD image of the item before it is made.
After the design is approved, we can create a wax model so you can review the piece physically. This step helps you evaluate scale, proportions, shape, and overall presence before final production begins.
Once the wax model is approved, our jewelers craft the finished piece with attention to structure, finish, stone security, and long-term wear. Each adjustment is reviewed carefully so the final item feels intentional, balanced, and made specifically for you.
You do not need to have every detail figured out before starting. If you like this item but want to change the stone, metal, size, shape, width, engraving, or overall style, we can guide those decisions through the custom design process.
Quality & Craftsmanship
At Joseph Jewelry, quality begins with the structure. We follow strict design and construction standards for metal thickness, weight, stone support, setting security, and long-term durability. These details help ensure the item is substantial enough for everyday wear while still maintaining a refined appearance.
We do not design custom jewelry to be unnecessarily thin or fragile. If a setting, band, gallery, or accent detail needs more support, we address it before production begins. The goal is to protect the stones, preserve the shape of the ring, and create a piece that can be worn confidently over time.
Gemstone selection is also part of our quality process. We help choose the center stone, side stones, and melee diamonds used in each ring, reviewing them for cut, color, clarity, consistency, and how well they fit the design. Even when a ring is designed around a specific budget, we maintain careful standards for the materials and craftsmanship that determine the quality of the finished piece.
Before completion, each custom piece is reviewed for proportion, comfort, stone security, finishing, and long-term wear.
Care & Warranty
All Joseph Jewelry custom pieces are supported by our lifetime warranty. We also provide long-term care, including complimentary cleaning and regular inspection, so your jewelry can be maintained properly over time.
Routine inspection is especially valuable for pieces worn every day. It allows the setting, stones, and overall structure to be checked as the jewelry is worn.

My fiance proposed with his Bubie's engagement ring, and we wanted to turn into something that's more MY style. I found a couple of bad-ass ring designs that I fell in love with online, but none of them let me incorporate our own (very important heirloom) diamonds. And then it hit me: Joseph Jewelry makes custom engagement rings -- I could totally turn to them for help. You can see the details account of how it all worked, and how my ring went from a "meh" to AMAZING over here: http://offbeatbride.com/custom-engagement-ring-design/ But to sum it all up -- the custom process is fun AF, the people who work with you are creative and charming, and the finished product is, well, I'll just show you my response when I saw my ring: "All I have to say is: A MILLION CATS WITH HEARTS FOR EYES!!!!" If you're thinking of having an engagement ring designed for you or your partner, and you want that "million cats with hearts for eyes" reaction, you have to start designing your ring with Joseph Jewelry right meow!
