This two-toned ring features a cushion shaped natural yellow sapphire that is double prong set in 18 karat yellow gold and accented with 58 bright cut set round diamonds and surrounded by filigree, with milgrain detailing in a platinum knife edge shank. Milgrain is a row of delicate, metal bead work along the edge of a section of jewelry that can add a special touch to customized rings.
Our clients wanted an art-deco inspired ring. The clients began by creating an online account through our website, then posted a few inspiration pictures and a small description of what they wanted to achieve with their customized engagement ring design. Our custom design experts worked closely with both clients until the 3D images of the ring were perfect and exactly as the couple had dreamed. When the ring was complete, the result was an absolutely stunning art-deco engagement ring. Vintage Engagement Rings
The center gem, a yellow sapphire, was set in 18 karat yellow gold to best reflect the yellow hue of the yellow sapphire. The detailing on the ring’s shoulders added a beautiful vintage look to the engagement ring.

A full-size wax model can be made to review scale, shape and proportions before production. It can be viewed in a showroom or shipped to you.
Approval and production
The design is approved before production begins. Your designer confirms the schedule, and our jewelers make, set and finish the piece.

Our custom jewelry follows design and construction standards for metal thickness, weight, stone support and setting security.

- The setting must have enough metal to support the stones and hold its shape through everyday wear. If an area needs more support, we address it before production.
- Diamond and gemstone selection
- We help you choose stones for your custom design, reviewing cut, color, clarity, consistency and fit. Your budget guides these choices; our standards for materials and craftsmanship remain the same.
- Final inspection
- Before completion, we review each custom piece for proportion, comfort, stone security and finish.

Coverage conditions
For Joseph Jewelry custom pieces, coverage begins with your signature. To keep it active, Joseph Jewelry must inspect and sign for your piece every six months and perform recommended repairs and maintenance.
Repairs due to normal wear and tear are the owner's responsibility. Damage, abuse or alterations can void coverage. Customers outside Washington pay shipping both ways for inspections or repairs, plus applicable duty or customs fees.
