Platinum Custom Diamond Engagement Ring

Center Setting
At the top of this ring, a 0.61 carat princess cut diamond is held in place by four chevron prongs. These are made of 14k white gold, and they wrap elegantly around the corners of the stone, helping to protect it while also highlighting its beautiful lines. The client specifically requested chevron prongs, and he provided a sample image of exactly what he wanted them to look like on the finished piece to help our jewelers match his vision exactly. Band Design and Diamond Accents
The band is narrow at the bottom, with a Euroshank design that includes soft corners on the lower half of the ring, providing a nice balance and a more modern look. The band widens moving upward, and at about the mid-point on each side, a criss-cross pattern begins to emerge.
This pattern is subtle, and it’s composed of two strands that never really separate, but that intertwine on their way towards the main setting. The criss-cross pattern is made clear by the addition of a row of bright cut set diamond accents that runs up one of the strands. These bring a glamorous flair to the design as well, and they continue all the way up to the point where the center setting emerges from the band.
Matching Wedding Sets
We made a matching wedding ring for this couple at the same time as we made this piece, and that allowed us to ensure the two were perfectly aligned so they would sit flush when worn as a set. Because the two rings were designed to go together, they contain matching and complementary features. These include the criss-cross pattern on the band, as well as the line of diamond accents and the Euroshank. Matching Wedding Sets

Joseph Jewelry
Customizing This Design
Any Joseph Jewelry item can be customized or used as the starting point for a new custom design. The gemstones, metal, proportions, setting style, surface details, and overall profile can be adjusted to better match your preferences, style, and budget.
Every custom piece begins with a conversation about what you want to create and what matters most to you. You work one-on-one with a designer to refine the concept, review the design direction, and create a detailed 3D CAD image of the item before it is made.
After the design is approved, we can create a wax model so you can review the piece physically. This step helps you evaluate scale, proportions, shape, and overall presence before final production begins.
Once the wax model is approved, our jewelers craft the finished piece with attention to structure, finish, stone security, and long-term wear. Each adjustment is reviewed carefully so the final item feels intentional, balanced, and made specifically for you.
You do not need to have every detail figured out before starting. If you like this item but want to change the stone, metal, size, shape, width, engraving, or overall style, we can guide those decisions through the custom design process.
Quality & Craftsmanship
At Joseph Jewelry, quality begins with the structure. We follow strict design and construction standards for metal thickness, weight, stone support, setting security, and long-term durability. These details help ensure the item is substantial enough for everyday wear while still maintaining a refined appearance.
We do not design custom jewelry to be unnecessarily thin or fragile. If a setting, band, gallery, or accent detail needs more support, we address it before production begins. The goal is to protect the stones, preserve the shape of the ring, and create a piece that can be worn confidently over time.
Gemstone selection is also part of our quality process. We help choose the center stone, side stones, and melee diamonds used in each ring, reviewing them for cut, color, clarity, consistency, and how well they fit the design. Even when a ring is designed around a specific budget, we maintain careful standards for the materials and craftsmanship that determine the quality of the finished piece.
Before completion, each custom piece is reviewed for proportion, comfort, stone security, finishing, and long-term wear.
Care & Warranty
All Joseph Jewelry custom pieces are supported by our lifetime warranty. We also provide long-term care, including complimentary cleaning and regular inspection, so your jewelry can be maintained properly over time.
Routine inspection is especially valuable for pieces worn every day. It allows the setting, stones, and overall structure to be checked as the jewelry is worn.
