Platinum Custom Diamond Halo Engagement Ring
Item #102882 $9,450 Price does not include center stoneEngagement Ring Description
Center Diamond and Halo
The diamond at the center of this ring is 1.24 carats and princess cut. It’s held in place by four chevron prongs, the slightly forked contours of which complement the diamond’s shape nicely. This was one of the diamonds that the client provided, and since it was slightly larger and deeper than the diamond in her inspiration piece, we adjusted the setting and halo accordingly.
Surrounding this larger diamond is a ring of round bright cut set diamonds arranged in a squared halo. Their round shape creates a nice contrast with the angular princess cut stones above and below, as well as with the shape of the halo itself. The halo style is a classic choice for an engagement ring, and it brings some vintage flair to this design as well.
Diamond and Milgrain Accents
The client provided 24 small princess cut diamonds to serve as accents running down the shank shoulders. On the original inspiration piece, these were round and bright cut set, but due to the shape of the princess cuts, we had to switch to a channel setting. There is also a single bezel set round diamond on each of the ring fronts directly below the center setting.
All of the diamonds in this piece, along with the interior of the cathedral, are lined with milgrain beading. This detail gives the ring a nice, finished look, and it also helps enhance the vintage overtones already present. Vintage Engagement Rings

Customizing This Design
Any Joseph Jewelry item can be customized or used as the starting point for a new custom design. The gemstones, metal, proportions, setting style, surface details, and overall profile can be adjusted to better match your preferences, style, and budget.
Every custom piece begins with a conversation about what you want to create and what matters most to you. You work one-on-one with a designer to refine the concept, review the design direction, and create a detailed 3D CAD image of the item before it is made.
After the design is approved, we can create a wax model so you can review the piece physically. This step helps you evaluate scale, proportions, shape, and overall presence before final production begins.
Once the wax model is approved, our jewelers craft the finished piece with attention to structure, finish, stone security, and long-term wear. Each adjustment is reviewed carefully so the final item feels intentional, balanced, and made specifically for you.
You do not need to have every detail figured out before starting. If you like this item but want to change the stone, metal, size, shape, width, engraving, or overall style, we can guide those decisions through the custom design process.
Quality & Craftsmanship
At Joseph Jewelry, quality begins with the structure. We follow strict design and construction standards for metal thickness, weight, stone support, setting security, and long-term durability. These details help ensure the item is substantial enough for everyday wear while still maintaining a refined appearance.
We do not design custom jewelry to be unnecessarily thin or fragile. If a setting, band, gallery, or accent detail needs more support, we address it before production begins. The goal is to protect the stones, preserve the shape of the ring, and create a piece that can be worn confidently over time.
Gemstone selection is also part of our quality process. We help choose the center stone, side stones, and melee diamonds used in each ring, reviewing them for cut, color, clarity, consistency, and how well they fit the design. Even when a ring is designed around a specific budget, we maintain careful standards for the materials and craftsmanship that determine the quality of the finished piece.
Before completion, each custom piece is reviewed for proportion, comfort, stone security, finishing, and long-term wear.
Care & Warranty
All Joseph Jewelry custom pieces are supported by our lifetime warranty. We also provide long-term care, including complimentary cleaning and regular inspection, so your jewelry can be maintained properly over time.
Routine inspection is especially valuable for pieces worn every day. It allows the setting, stones, and overall structure to be checked as the jewelry is worn.
