This stunning engagement ring features five colored gemstones and two white diamonds of varying cuts, all bezel set in a unique yellow gold band. It was created for a couple from Seattle, WA, who visited us in person in our Bellevue showroom to get the custom design process underway.

They shared their vision for the design of the ring, and after this initial consultation, we posted high-quality CAD images of the piece we proposed to make. They loved the design and came in to examine a wax model before giving final approval to move it into production. They also came in again the pick out each of the gemstones to be included in the ring, helping to ensure the finished product was perfect in every way. Design Your Own Engagement Ring
Bezel Set Gemstones
The top of this ring holds seven gemstones total, of which two are baguette shaped white diamonds. The others include a small round ruby, an oval bronze tourmaline, a round green sapphire, a yellow trillion shaped sapphire, and a princess cut black diamond. All of these are bezel set in 14k yellow gold, and this brings a nice contrast to the design as well as introducing a bit of classical flair to this otherwise modern piece.
Band Design
At the bottom, this band is a solid piece, but it splits into three strands at about the three-quarter point. The two strands on the sides diverge slightly as they move up towards the top of the ring, while the third continues straight up. All three connect with their counterparts on the opposite side forming three solid bands that the gemstones straddle in various locations across the top of the ring.
This is a unique and eye-catching display thanks to both the band design and the combination of gemstones. The yellow gold also features a brushed finish, and this matte surface helps emphasize the sparkle of the gemstones even more.

Design and estimate

3D design review
After you accept the estimate and make a down payment, we create a 3D CAD model and rendered views. Revisions within the initial design parameters are included; changes to materials or their amounts are re-estimated.
Physical model
A full-size wax model can be made to review scale, shape and proportions before production. It can be viewed in a showroom or shipped to you.
Approval and production
The design is approved before production begins. Your designer confirms the schedule, and our jewelers make, set and finish the piece.
Quality
Our custom jewelry follows design and construction standards for metal thickness, weight, stone support and setting security.
- Structure and support
- The setting must have enough metal to support the stones and hold its shape through everyday wear. If an area needs more support, we address it before production.
- Diamond and gemstone selection
- We help you choose stones for your custom design, reviewing cut, color, clarity, consistency and fit. Your budget guides these choices; our standards for materials and craftsmanship remain the same.
- Final inspection
- Before completion, we review each custom piece for proportion, comfort, stone security and finish.

Coverage conditions
For Joseph Jewelry custom pieces, coverage begins with your signature. To keep it active, Joseph Jewelry must inspect and sign for your piece every six months and perform recommended repairs and maintenance.
Repairs due to normal wear and tear are the owner's responsibility. Damage, abuse or alterations can void coverage. Customers outside Washington pay shipping both ways for inspections or repairs, plus applicable duty or customs fees.
