Center Setting
The four prongs of the main setting rise almost straight up from below to meet the round brilliant cut diamond at the top. This stone is one carat, and it sits lightly in the prong setting, while the decorative basket that encases the bottom of it begins just below its widest point. The ring at the top of this basket frames the stone nicely, and the custom filigree that forms the basket’s sides ties in nicely with the ornate designs on the band.
Organic Band
With the exception of a straight bar across the bottom quarter of the ring, the band is composed of a twisting, intertwining pattern of vine and leaf shapes that curls back in and around itself as it makes its way up to the center setting. This pattern brings a lovely organic feel to the piece, and the ornate scroll design gradually widens as it nears the top to ease the transition to the large diamond above. Ruby and Milgrain Accents
All of the vine and leaf shapes in this ring are lined with a double row of milgrain beading, which adds a lovely vintage flair to the piece while also highlighting the graceful movement of the design. Milgrain lines the top bar of the basket below the center setting as well, and this shared detail helps tie both areas of the ring together. Diamond Engagement Rings
Six small round rubies are also worked into the organic shank design, with three on each side of the piece. Their rich red color contrasts dramatically with the brilliant white of the metal, while their relatively small size ensures they don’t overshadow the other design elements.

3D design review
After you accept the estimate and make a down payment, we create a 3D CAD model and rendered views. Revisions within the initial design parameters are included; changes to materials or their amounts are re-estimated.
Physical model
A full-size wax model can be made to review scale, shape and proportions before production. It can be viewed in a showroom or shipped to you.
Approval and production
The design is approved before production begins. Your designer confirms the schedule, and our jewelers make, set and finish the piece.
Quality
Our custom jewelry follows design and construction standards for metal thickness, weight, stone support and setting security.
- Structure and support
- The setting must have enough metal to support the stones and hold its shape through everyday wear. If an area needs more support, we address it before production.
- Diamond and gemstone selection
- We help you choose stones for your custom design, reviewing cut, color, clarity, consistency and fit. Your budget guides these choices; our standards for materials and craftsmanship remain the same.
- Final inspection
- Before completion, we review each custom piece for proportion, comfort, stone security and finish.

Coverage conditions
For Joseph Jewelry custom pieces, coverage begins with your signature. To keep it active, Joseph Jewelry must inspect and sign for your piece every six months and perform recommended repairs and maintenance.
Repairs due to normal wear and tear are the owner's responsibility. Damage, abuse or alterations can void coverage. Customers outside Washington pay shipping both ways for inspections or repairs, plus applicable duty or customs fees.
