Center Diamond and Halo
At the top of this ring, a 0.75 carat round brilliant cut diamond is bezel set in 18k white gold. The rim of the setting hugs the margins of the stone closely, helping to highlight its elegant lines while simultaneously protecting it from the hazards of everyday wear. In order to maximize the diamond’s brilliant sparkle, however, the setting is open from below, ensuring that plenty of light can get in.
Slightly below the level of the bezel setting, a halo of split prong set diamonds encircles the larger stone. This style is a classic choice for an engagement ring, and that combined with the more modern look of the bezel setting produces a timeless and sophisticated quality for the design. Band Design and Diamond Accents
Split prong set diamonds continue from the edge of the halo along the shoulders of the narrow white gold shank, ending about one-third of the way down each side. These help produce a uniform look for the ring, and the split prong setting leaves minimal metal showing between the diamonds, helping to maximize their dazzling sparkle. Below the diamond accents, the band is narrow and flat on top, with a polished surface. A bridge piece breaks off from the inner margin of the shank shoulders to pass below the main setting, while on top, the band rises up to meet the sides of the halo. This arrangement, combined with the thinness of the band itself, helps to highlight the size and perfect proportions of the main setting and the diamond at its center.

A full-size wax model can be made to review scale, shape and proportions before production. It can be viewed in a showroom or shipped to you.
Approval and production
The design is approved before production begins. Your designer confirms the schedule, and our jewelers make, set and finish the piece.
Quality
Our custom jewelry follows design and construction standards for metal thickness, weight, stone support and setting security.
- Structure and support
- The setting must have enough metal to support the stones and hold its shape through everyday wear. If an area needs more support, we address it before production.
- Diamond and gemstone selection
- We help you choose stones for your custom design, reviewing cut, color, clarity, consistency and fit. Your budget guides these choices; our standards for materials and craftsmanship remain the same.
- Final inspection
- Before completion, we review each custom piece for proportion, comfort, stone security and finish.

For Joseph Jewelry custom pieces, coverage begins with your signature. To keep it active, Joseph Jewelry must inspect and sign for your piece every six months and perform recommended repairs and maintenance.
Repairs due to normal wear and tear are the owner's responsibility. Damage, abuse or alterations can void coverage. Customers outside Washington pay shipping both ways for inspections or repairs, plus applicable duty or customs fees.
