This beautiful rose gold engagement ring features an elongated cushion cut peach sapphire in the center of a diamond halo with a modified split shank. It was created for a client from Bothell, WA, and is a product of a few combined designs.

Pink Peach Sapphire
Sapphires are a great choice for engagement rings. They are second only to diamond in hardness, and can be sourced in a variety of different cuts and colors. This client chose a lab grown sapphire as the center for his ring, which is a good way to guarantee the environment was not harmed in any way by the mining of your gemstone. Split Shank
With a longer gemstone like this one, a split shank is a great way to strengthen the setting as well as highlight the center stone. The client decided to have the split happen closer to the center, so it is considered more of a modified split. The split shank also allows the ring to sit in a low profile on her finger. The halo around the sapphire intensifies the color of the gemstone, and also stands out against the rose gold. There are many ways this ring could be customized. The first thing would be to choose a sapphire color, as there are many options. Usually, a colder color is paired with white gold or platinum, but sometimes pairing royal blue with yellow gold is a gorgeous contrast. Our custom design process allows you to play with these different options to find the color combination that suits you best.

3D design review
After you accept the estimate and make a down payment, we create a 3D CAD model and rendered views. Revisions within the initial design parameters are included; changes to materials or their amounts are re-estimated.
Physical model
A full-size wax model can be made to review scale, shape and proportions before production. It can be viewed in a showroom or shipped to you.
Approval and production
The design is approved before production begins. Your designer confirms the schedule, and our jewelers make, set and finish the piece.
Quality
Our custom jewelry follows design and construction standards for metal thickness, weight, stone support and setting security.
- Structure and support
- The setting must have enough metal to support the stones and hold its shape through everyday wear. If an area needs more support, we address it before production.
- Diamond and gemstone selection
- We help you choose stones for your custom design, reviewing cut, color, clarity, consistency and fit. Your budget guides these choices; our standards for materials and craftsmanship remain the same.
- Final inspection
- Before completion, we review each custom piece for proportion, comfort, stone security and finish.

Coverage conditions
For Joseph Jewelry custom pieces, coverage begins with your signature. To keep it active, Joseph Jewelry must inspect and sign for your piece every six months and perform recommended repairs and maintenance.
Repairs due to normal wear and tear are the owner's responsibility. Damage, abuse or alterations can void coverage. Customers outside Washington pay shipping both ways for inspections or repairs, plus applicable duty or customs fees.
