Diamond Solitaire

At the top of this ring, a large marquise cut diamond is perched in a prong setting made of 14K white gold. The two prongs meet the diamond at its corners, leaving the entire expanse of the sides open. The diamond is oriented to sit lengthwise across the band, and this leaves it in line with the finger when the ring is worn. That positioning also helps highlight the elegant lines of the cut, and it has an elongating effect on the finger of the wearer. Diamond Engagement Rings

A diamond solitaire is a traditional choice for an engagement ring, and this design qualifies due to the fact that the center diamond is the only gemstone in the piece. Just because it’s a traditional style, however, doesn’t mean it can’t also be unique, as this ring ably demonstrates. In fact, there are any number of ways you can work details that reflect your personal style into a traditional ring design, allowing you to have the best of both. Solitaire Engagement Rings

Band Design

The band of this ring is slightly rounded on top, and it maintains the same width nearly all the way around. The only divergence from this is where it narrows at the very top as it nears the sides of the center setting. That slight tapering helps make the main diamond appear even larger, and it adds to the delicate appearance of the design overall.

Customize

Use this design as a starting point for a custom piece.

Discuss the stones, metal, proportions, setting and finish with a designer, online or in our Seattle and Bellevue showrooms. You can bring reference photographs or your own stone for us to assess.

  1. Design and estimate

The initial design and estimate are free, with no obligation. Your designer discusses the materials, changes and budget with you before you commit.

  2. 3D design review

After you accept the estimate and make a down payment, we create a 3D CAD model and rendered views. Revisions within the initial design parameters are included; changes to materials or their amounts are re-estimated.

  3. Physical model

A full-size wax model can be made to review scale, shape and proportions before production. It can be viewed in a showroom or shipped to you.

  4. Approval and production

The design is approved before production begins. Your designer confirms the schedule, and our jewelers make, set and finish the piece.
