Center Setting
At the top of this ring, a round brilliant cut diamond sits in a four prong setting made from 14k white gold. The prongs hold the stone up above the rest of the ring, solidifying its prominent place in the piece and evoking a classical solitaire design along the way. The mostly straight, somewhat blocky shape of the prongs, however, hints at the contemporary overtones that are developed elsewhere in the ring. Diamond Engagement Rings
Diamond Accents
On either side of the center setting, lines of bright cut set accent diamonds run perpendicularly across the band, providing a nice frame for the larger diamond at the top. These serve some of the purpose of a halo, as they send extra light back up onto the center, but they also evoke a decidedly modern aesthetic as well.
The sides of the metal sections holding these lines of diamonds form one half of the tension settings holding the two larger accent diamonds in place. The other sides of the settings are formed from the top of the band as it nears the top of the ring, and the diamonds set in these spots are both round and brilliant cut. They’re perfectly proportioned to complement the larger stone at the top, and the minimalist nature of their setting provides a clear view of each stone from all angles. Engagement Rings Seattle
Euroshank Design
The band itself is rounded on top, and it thickens slightly about three-quarters of the way down each side to form the soft corners of a Euroshank design. This contributes to the overall modern look of the piece, and it also helps to balance out the large center setting, both structurally and visually.
