To begin the custom design process, you can visit us in person anytime in our Bellevue, WA showroom. You can also reach out to us through our website to share your inspiration pieces and discuss your ideas with our team. We set up a dedicated workroom for each custom design project we take on, and we will modify our models as many times as necessary to ensure you come away with exactly what you were envisioning.
London Blue Topaz
The centerpiece of this ring is a 1.90 carat oval London blue topaz. It’s bezel set in 14k rose gold, and it has a gorgeous blue-green color that’s complemented perfectly by the warm tones of the metal. It’s nearly identical in size and shape to the topaz in the center of the matching pendant, and this creates an elegant link between the two pieces in the set. Design Your Own Ring
Diamond Halo and Milgrain Accents
A modified halo of split prong set diamonds surrounds the center stone in this ring, and it sits down slightly below the bezel setting, helping to keep the topaz front and center in the design. The halo is widest at the top and bottom of the stone, and that’s where the largest diamonds are as well. Vintage Engagement Rings
Both the halo and the diamonds taper as they move towards the center of each side, with the metal from the top and bottom eventually meeting right in the middle where both come to a point. This is the same configuration as the halo takes in the companion pendant, and it gives both pieces a subtle organic flair.

3D design review
After you accept the estimate and make a down payment, we create a 3D CAD model and rendered views. Revisions within the initial design parameters are included; changes to materials or their amounts are re-estimated.
Physical model
A full-size wax model can be made to review scale, shape and proportions before production. It can be viewed in a showroom or shipped to you.
Approval and production
The design is approved before production begins. Your designer confirms the schedule, and our jewelers make, set and finish the piece.
Quality
Our custom jewelry follows design and construction standards for metal thickness, weight, stone support and setting security.
- Structure and support
- The setting must have enough metal to support the stones and hold its shape through everyday wear. If an area needs more support, we address it before production.
- Diamond and gemstone selection
- We help you choose stones for your custom design, reviewing cut, color, clarity, consistency and fit. Your budget guides these choices; our standards for materials and craftsmanship remain the same.
- Final inspection
- Before completion, we review each custom piece for proportion, comfort, stone security and finish.

Coverage conditions
For Joseph Jewelry custom pieces, coverage begins with your signature. To keep it active, Joseph Jewelry must inspect and sign for your piece every six months and perform recommended repairs and maintenance.
Repairs due to normal wear and tear are the owner's responsibility. Damage, abuse or alterations can void coverage. Customers outside Washington pay shipping both ways for inspections or repairs, plus applicable duty or customs fees.
