This stunning women’s fashion ring features an oval jade cabochon, bezel set in rose gold with a sandblasted finish. It was created as a custom piece for a client from Bellevue, WA, who worked with us primarily onsite in our showroom to ensure every detail of the ring was exactly the way she wanted it.

Jade Cabochon
The jade set in this ring measures 15mm by 12mm, and it’s cabochon cut means that it has a smooth, domed top with a completely flat bottom. That shape allowed us to keep the profile low while still using a rather large stone, as the setting didn’t have to accommodate the depth that a different type of cut would generate. That detail was especially significant in this case, since it was important to our client that there was enough space below the stone for a straight gold band to sit flush against this ring.
The soft yet intense green of the jade goes well with the rose gold of the setting, and it has just enough of a shine to contrast subtly with the sandblasted finish of the band. This design was built around the stone, and its minimalist nature really lets the jade stand out.
Metal and Finish Options
The overall look and feel of this piece are dependent upon several significant design decisions, and that means that adjusting any one of those can impact the appearance of the ring substantially. For instance, if you were looking to customize this piece, you could switch to a high polish finish and white gold for a more contemporary look. After you accept the estimate and make a down payment, we create a 3D CAD model and rendered views. Revisions within the initial design parameters are included; changes to materials or their amounts are re-estimated.
Physical model
A full-size wax model can be made to review scale, shape and proportions before production. It can be viewed in a showroom or shipped to you.
Approval and production
The design is approved before production begins. Your designer confirms the schedule, and our jewelers make, set and finish the piece.
Quality
Our custom jewelry follows design and construction standards for metal thickness, weight, stone support and setting security.
- Structure and support
- The setting must have enough metal to support the stones and hold its shape through everyday wear. If an area needs more support, we address it before production.
- Diamond and gemstone selection
- We help you choose stones for your custom design, reviewing cut, color, clarity, consistency and fit. Your budget guides these choices; our standards for materials and craftsmanship remain the same.
- Final inspection
- Before completion, we review each custom piece for proportion, comfort, stone security and finish.

Coverage conditions
For Joseph Jewelry custom pieces, coverage begins with your signature. To keep it active, Joseph Jewelry must inspect and sign for your piece every six months and perform recommended repairs and maintenance.
Repairs due to normal wear and tear are the owner's responsibility. Damage, abuse or alterations can void coverage. Customers outside Washington pay shipping both ways for inspections or repairs, plus applicable duty or customs fees.
