Platinum Custom Aquamarine And Diamond Halo Fashion Ring
Item #101686Fashion Ring Description
Aquamarine Center
The stone that anchors this ring is a 18.04 carat vortex cut aquamarine with a delicate light blue color, and it’s held in place by a six prong palladium setting. It’s shaped like a hexagon on the outside, but when you look down at it from the top, the arrangement of the facets creates a lovely swirling pattern, which is where the cut gets its name.
Our client found this gem when she attended one of our gemstone parties, where we feature specialty cut stones from an award-winning gemstone cutter. Starting with a unique stone like this is a great way to build a special piece that will really stand out from the crowd.
Diamond Halo
The center aquamarine is completely encircled by a halo of round bright cut set diamonds, and these add wonderful sparkle to the piece, while also providing a subtle contrast to the center stone. This helps intensify the blue of the aquamarine, and it also brings a bit of vintage flair to the piece.
Hand-made Filigree
Initially, our client wanted us to create patterns in the metal below the setting that resembled the waves of the ocean, which she thought would go nicely with the color and cut of the stone. Eventually, she approved a solid band to add a contemporary flair to her piece.
We also explored several options throughout the process for what could go beneath the center stone, and eventually settled on this elegant filigree basket. Because our artisans complete this type of detail by hand, you have a lot of flexibility in terms of the types of shapes and patterns you can include, and that’s one great way to work something of personal significance into a design like this. Design Your Own Ring
Customizing This Design
Any Joseph Jewelry item can be customized or used as the starting point for a new custom design. The gemstones, metal, proportions, setting style, surface details, and overall profile can be adjusted to better match your preferences, style, and budget.
Every custom piece begins with a conversation about what you want to create and what matters most to you. You work one-on-one with a designer to refine the concept, review the design direction, and create a detailed 3D CAD image of the item before it is made.
After the design is approved, we can create a wax model so you can review the piece physically. This step helps you evaluate scale, proportions, shape, and overall presence before final production begins.
Once the wax model is approved, our jewelers craft the finished piece with attention to structure, finish, stone security, and long-term wear. Each adjustment is reviewed carefully so the final item feels intentional, balanced, and made specifically for you.
You do not need to have every detail figured out before starting. If you like this item but want to change the stone, metal, size, shape, width, engraving, or overall style, we can guide those decisions through the custom design process.
Quality & Craftsmanship
At Joseph Jewelry, quality begins with the structure. We follow strict design and construction standards for metal thickness, weight, stone support, setting security, and long-term durability. These details help ensure the item is substantial enough for everyday wear while still maintaining a refined appearance.
We do not design custom jewelry to be unnecessarily thin or fragile. If a setting, band, gallery, or accent detail needs more support, we address it before production begins. The goal is to protect the stones, preserve the shape of the ring, and create a piece that can be worn confidently over time.
Gemstone selection is also part of our quality process. We help choose the center stone, side stones, and melee diamonds used in each ring, reviewing them for cut, color, clarity, consistency, and how well they fit the design. Even when a ring is designed around a specific budget, we maintain careful standards for the materials and craftsmanship that determine the quality of the finished piece.
Before completion, each custom piece is reviewed for proportion, comfort, stone security, finishing, and long-term wear.
Care & Warranty
All Joseph Jewelry custom pieces are supported by our lifetime warranty. We also provide long-term care, including complimentary cleaning and regular inspection, so your jewelry can be maintained properly over time.
Routine inspection is especially valuable for pieces worn every day. It allows the setting, stones, and overall structure to be checked as the jewelry is worn.
