Custom Blue Sapphire Solitaire Ring
Item #1266Fashion Ring Description
For every custom project we take on, we use the information you provide initially to create a highly-detailed representation of the design in CAD. We’ll share this with you through the online workroom we set up to manage your project, and you can request any changes you’d like at this point. We’ll incorporate your feedback and share the revised design with you, and we’ll repeat this process as many times as necessary to ensure you’re completely satisfied with every detail.
Bezel Set Sapphire
The lone gemstone in this ring is a large cushion cut blue sapphire, and it’s held in a bezel setting that lifts it up significantly above the band below. The use of the bezel setting allows the stone to sit up high while remaining well-protected from the rigors of regular wear, and it also creates an elegant frame for this gorgeous stone. The contrast between the rich blue of the stone and the soft, silvery tones of the metal helps to highlight the beauty of each element, and it adds significant depth to the design as a whole. Since there is only one gemstone in this ring, it’s considered a solitaire design, although customizing it could involve adding some accents stones to the band if you like that look better.
Metal and Finish Options
The 14k white gold band is flat and relatively wide all the way around, and it features a sandblasted finish that creates a soft matte surface. This adds another layer of contrast to the design, as it helps the brilliant sparkle of the stone stand out that much more, but it’s hardly the only finish option available. Fashion Rings
For instance, you could switch to a brushed finish if you like the matte effect but want something a little different, or you could go with a high polish. Using a different metal is an option, with alternatives like rose or yellow gold available to add some warmer tones and a more striking contrast with the blue of the sapphire. Of course, you could choose a different color sapphire as well, or even a diamond, and our team will help you thoroughly explore all of your options in this regard.

Customizing This Design
Any Joseph Jewelry item can be customized or used as the starting point for a new custom design. The gemstones, metal, proportions, setting style, surface details, and overall profile can be adjusted to better match your preferences, style, and budget.
Every custom piece begins with a conversation about what you want to create and what matters most to you. You work one-on-one with a designer to refine the concept, review the design direction, and create a detailed 3D CAD image of the item before it is made.
After the design is approved, we can create a wax model so you can review the piece physically. This step helps you evaluate scale, proportions, shape, and overall presence before final production begins.
Once the wax model is approved, our jewelers craft the finished piece with attention to structure, finish, stone security, and long-term wear. Each adjustment is reviewed carefully so the final item feels intentional, balanced, and made specifically for you.
You do not need to have every detail figured out before starting. If you like this item but want to change the stone, metal, size, shape, width, engraving, or overall style, we can guide those decisions through the custom design process.
Quality & Craftsmanship
At Joseph Jewelry, quality begins with the structure. We follow strict design and construction standards for metal thickness, weight, stone support, setting security, and long-term durability. These details help ensure the item is substantial enough for everyday wear while still maintaining a refined appearance.
We do not design custom jewelry to be unnecessarily thin or fragile. If a setting, band, gallery, or accent detail needs more support, we address it before production begins. The goal is to protect the stones, preserve the shape of the ring, and create a piece that can be worn confidently over time.
Gemstone selection is also part of our quality process. We help choose the center stone, side stones, and melee diamonds used in each ring, reviewing them for cut, color, clarity, consistency, and how well they fit the design. Even when a ring is designed around a specific budget, we maintain careful standards for the materials and craftsmanship that determine the quality of the finished piece.
Before completion, each custom piece is reviewed for proportion, comfort, stone security, finishing, and long-term wear.
Care & Warranty
All Joseph Jewelry custom pieces are supported by our lifetime warranty. We also provide long-term care, including complimentary cleaning and regular inspection, so your jewelry can be maintained properly over time.
Routine inspection is especially valuable for pieces worn every day. It allows the setting, stones, and overall structure to be checked as the jewelry is worn.
