Custom Blue Topaz And Black Diamond Fashion Ring
Item #101530Fashion Ring Description
Blue Topaz
The central stone in this ring is a 30.26 carat fancy cut round blue topaz with a shimmering blue-green color that’s really brought to life by the specialty cut. The six prong setting holding it in place is made of sterling sliver that’s been black rhodium plated to give it a sleek, dark grey color, and this really contrasts nicely with the cool blue of the stone.
These prongs needed to be extra strong to hold such a large, gorgeous gem, so we started them each as two strands at the base of the setting and had them run parallel before coming together as they neared the widest point of the topaz. This not only provided the right amount of structural stability, but it also created a lovely and ornate basket for the gem to sit in.
Black Diamond Accents
Both shank shoulders hold a row of channel set round black diamonds, and these stand out just enough from the dark metal band to create the perfect finishing touch to this wonderful piece. Black diamonds are beautiful, and they represent strength, everlasting love, and wisdom, all of which are wonderful sentiments to include in any piece.
Specialty Cut Gemstones
If you’d like to create your own unique piece of fine custom jewelry but don’t know quite where to begin, you may want to take a look at some specialty cut gemstones. We regularly hold gemstone parties where we feature gems shaped by an award-winning gemstone cutter, which means you’ll see things that are not generally available on the market. Ask us about Custom-Cut Gems!
The type of jewelry you want to make will dictate to a certain extent the kind of stone you’ll want to use. But the best thing about choosing a specialty cut gem is that you can be sure the piece you end up with will truly be one-of-a-kind.
Customizing This Design
Any Joseph Jewelry item can be customized or used as the starting point for a new custom design. The gemstones, metal, proportions, setting style, surface details, and overall profile can be adjusted to better match your preferences, style, and budget.
Every custom piece begins with a conversation about what you want to create and what matters most to you. You work one-on-one with a designer to refine the concept, review the design direction, and create a detailed 3D CAD image of the item before it is made.
After the design is approved, we can create a wax model so you can review the piece physically. This step helps you evaluate scale, proportions, shape, and overall presence before final production begins.
Once the wax model is approved, our jewelers craft the finished piece with attention to structure, finish, stone security, and long-term wear. Each adjustment is reviewed carefully so the final item feels intentional, balanced, and made specifically for you.
You do not need to have every detail figured out before starting. If you like this item but want to change the stone, metal, size, shape, width, engraving, or overall style, we can guide those decisions through the custom design process.
Quality & Craftsmanship
At Joseph Jewelry, quality begins with the structure. We follow strict design and construction standards for metal thickness, weight, stone support, setting security, and long-term durability. These details help ensure the item is substantial enough for everyday wear while still maintaining a refined appearance.
We do not design custom jewelry to be unnecessarily thin or fragile. If a setting, band, gallery, or accent detail needs more support, we address it before production begins. The goal is to protect the stones, preserve the shape of the ring, and create a piece that can be worn confidently over time.
Gemstone selection is also part of our quality process. We help choose the center stone, side stones, and melee diamonds used in each ring, reviewing them for cut, color, clarity, consistency, and how well they fit the design. Even when a ring is designed around a specific budget, we maintain careful standards for the materials and craftsmanship that determine the quality of the finished piece.
Before completion, each custom piece is reviewed for proportion, comfort, stone security, finishing, and long-term wear.
Care & Warranty
All Joseph Jewelry custom pieces are supported by our lifetime warranty. We also provide long-term care, including complimentary cleaning and regular inspection, so your jewelry can be maintained properly over time.
Routine inspection is especially valuable for pieces worn every day. It allows the setting, stones, and overall structure to be checked as the jewelry is worn.
