The 7 diamonds that make up the center setting total 1.37 carats in weight, and they’re all round and prong set in 14k white gold. The one in the middle of the cluster is slightly larger than the others, and the way they’re arranged, combined with the organic design of the shank, gives them the appearance of a bouquet of flowers.
If you did want to alter this design to make it more your own, one way would be to go with a colored gemstone like sapphire to replace some or all of the diamonds. Sapphires come in many different shades, so this would give you the freedom to include a favorite or significant color in your piece, and it would also reinforce the existing floral themes.
Organic Shank
On one side, the shank is a single piece that curls into a scroll shape as it reaches the center setting. On the other, the band splits into three strands, each of which curl into the center cluster in their own way. The middle strand actually winds its way between the diamonds, while the other two curl up against the sides.
This subtle metalwork on the shank really brings a sense of balance and unity to the design, as well as some contemporary flair. However, if you’d like to move things in a more vintage direction, you could add some milgrain beading along the scrolls, or you could switch to rose or yellow gold to add some warmth and contrast at the same time.
